The way it looks and how the setting is, I honestly think it could be the best FF game ever! I have a very strong hunch about it, and my hunches are usually right. FF7 is my favorite game of all time, and I'd never think anything could come close to it, but this might be better. If anyone else agrees or disagrees please post your opinion.

Theoretically any game could be the best ever. Now if they have their production values in the right places, and they can make an easy functional control interface, it damn well could be.

Well, the mature nature of the story and characters and setting is probably what he is commenting on.

As far as sales, I can see both FFXIII and Versus beating FFVII, as far as acceptance, it will be hard to beat FFVII for many fans. The story itself looks to be on par with FFX (my favorite game) and with update graphics and battle system, it could surpass it.

I have a lot of hype for Versus, but it is dwindling because of the long wait...

I think Versus could be a great Final Fantasy game. Out of the normal but still it depends on your opinion. It will never be the consese but thats because people are sheep and follow the opinion that FFVII will always be the best FF.

You are valid in saying it has potential, no one is doubting that, except maybe a few on this forum that do not the clothes...

Versus does have a lot of potential, but with such a long wait, the hype train can leave

ive been hyped for a long time. i think itll still be there when its released.

I only found out about this game about a year ago. Basscially when I was playing FF 24/7. I've been on the hype train ever since.

Well it all comes down to oppinion. The FF series has been one of Nintendo and Playstation top priorities. Both companys consider FF as their main selling point. But up until a few years ago, Square enix has been going down hill. One title after another has been a dissapointment. Only now they have been releasing "good" games eg Star Ocean 4 (Which was also created by Tri-Ace)

But from a sales point, the best game so far is Metal Gear Solid 4 (Beautiful game). Sony doesnt realize how lucky they are to have FF title on their console.

When you say FFVersusXIII will be the best game ever, you are wrong. The game has not been released. MGS4 is currently the best game so far and that is a fact.

no, thats an opinion. the main reason that i think it will be so good is that most of the developers that have worked on me favorite ff games are the ones that are working o versus. and im not saying it will be the best game ever, im saying it has the potential.

Actually its been stated several times that MGS4 is the one everybody wanted, whether you are a PS3 owner or not. It was critically acclaimed and has been noted to be called "art" on several occasions therefor its not an oppinion its fact.
