But wait, how does a world map connect with the now confirmed linear style of game play? Unless each area is gonna trap you in one area, like other FFs did when you were required to move on. I remember Grandia 2 that had a decent enough world map, but it was entirely linear and you couldn't ever track back to the first town without travelling through all the dungeons again.
