I was really excited to hear about FFXIII's confirmation today, but after seeing the screens, there was one question on my mind. I may be getting a bit ahead of myself here but don't you think it's weird that the first screenshots had English Menus? I'm pretty sure that FFXII's initial images were Japanese. Could this mean they are further in development that we think?

Apparently FFXIII is almost fully completed, in hopes of it being a PS3 launch game.

That's just a rumour though, but YAY if it's true!

That would be AMAZING, although they haven't even released FFXII how can they release FFXIII

And don't call me a n00b and shoot me, but Hell_Fire shouldn't the whole forum be used for general FFXIII discussion as thats the reason the forums are here to be used for talking about everything FFXII rather than limiting ourselves to one thread?

Possibly, but some things may not need their own thread and could go here, such as my first post. If you want I could change it to 'General Discussion;. I don't really mind.

Which is probably why having it as a launch game would be a good idea.
Having the game released before Christmas (with the Ps3) would get people thinking "...Hmmmm, I'll get a PS3 with my Christmas money... but I'll need a game to play on it ... Oh look, FFXIII!" *Buys it*

If the Wii was cheaper, I was going to consider purchasing one before the PS3. But now that FFXIII is approaching, I'm back to the PS3 regardless. It looks like I fell victim to Squares marketing.

Sony really have pulled out an ace from under their sleeves, with everyone waiting for FFXII if they give us FFXIII there will be doubly amount of people choosing the PS3 because this will confirm for them that the PS3 will be the console on which all future Final Fantasy's will be

Anyway, it seems I'm going to have to save up a lot of cash, because my guess is that the launch price for FFXIII is probably like around $60, add that to $599 for a PS3[with Wifi] and that totals to around $660. I'm gonna need some help with raising money.

Yeah man, I am going to be mowing a lot of lawns this year. I think if I get half my dad will get the rest, that is what we did with the PS2, but one can only hope.

I'm gonna have to be working like part-time everyday over the summer to raise enough money to buy even just a PS3. Hopefully I get a lot of cash on my birthday in August. Maybe my parents will preorder it for me, then we split the pay half and half.

Heh, I'm past the stage where I get loads of money for my birthday unfortunately. I guess I'll have to start saving on my 12 hour a week job.

I feel for you. I don't even have a job and I don't think my mom will let me get one just yet. It would be nice though, becuase I would be able to put a good ammount aside every week or so. But I have to go through this at an entirely new angle. An angle that involves much sweet talking and good grades.
