Yes, I know there are threads about this boss fight already, only reason I'm making another one is because any advice specific to me not having upgraded my weapons the whole game would be awesome. My Crystarium is maxed at everyone's primary roles so far (non primary are unleveled). I have mostly breezed through the game so far, even with level 1 weapons as long as I kept my Crystarium upgraded. Now that I'm at Brathandelus 2, I'm stumped. I can get him well below half health before he casts Doom. I keep thinking if I work faster the next time, I can get him before he Dooms me.
My party is Lightning, Fang, and Hope. I mix it up with Delta Attack, Mystic Tower, Agression, Relenteless Assault and every now and then I have hope cast buffs. I'm mostly going by the strategy guide's instructions.
So, without having upgraded weapons am I stuck, or what's a good strategy for that?
Also if anyone is wondering why I haven't upgraded anything, well I've saved and hoarded every bit of loot since Chapter 1. I still have all of it too. My intentions are to save all my weapons and components until post game, where I will focus on getting the Treaure Hunter achievment. Been afraid to dabble too much into upgrading since I would hate to screw something up and cause me to not be able to get that achievment.

Nevermind, I finally beat him. Funny thing is I actually went the more straightforward, bloody, and less strategic route. My party was Lightning, Fang, and Hope and from the very start I just wailed away with Relentless Assault, only stopping to heal briefly. Funny that this worked. Didn't use any buffs or follow any real strategy, I had an easier time just tearing into the thing non-stop.
