	Well actually, genji gloves are not needed against adamantoises. The one thing you should have is the golden egg, which is great for gaining CP. gaian rings are not that easy to get imo, especially 3 of them, so i left that for a bit later. you should watch the Sazh strategy which is based on using h.magnums and blitz. it is also summon based, so you should get the gestalt/tp sync group so you could quickly regain tp. here's the video, use it, it works miracles against adamantoises, it didn't take me long to gain about 50 plat.ignots and more than enough traps, about 5-6 hours of adamantoise farming, first with the Sazh strategy and later using fang/highwind and snow/daze. use this while you are still low lvl: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57ssbWK3yhY use this when you have maxed out all your chars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsVzhw8ybjk for the second method you'll need to get certain items... so that's gonna take a while, but later it saves a lot of time, since you don't have to farm for TP any longer. and yes, the items you should use on fang in the first method should give you the gestalt/tp sync, i think one of the previous posts explains this quite nicely ------------------- Ridess zee shoopuf? ^3^

	Have you used the genji gloves? Both of those videos have Fang equipped with them. I'm far enough through the Crystarium that my players are reasonably powerful, and my weapons are 2nd tier maxed, so I don't really need traps yet. However. . . When I first hit chapter 11, one of the first things I did was to get crushed by an Adamantoise, so I must stomp them. Just like the Tyrannosaur in earlier games. Nothing like getting bitten in half to motivate you. I still have to do the Faultwarrens and the stone circle missions, which may help, in that one of my problems with the Adamantoise is staggering him fast enough. I'm also curious as to whether Snow's Sovereign Fist will work as well as Highwind and Cold Blood. Arandor's post on sync groups is excellent, and my Snow is now exceptionally fast. I'm going to upgrade some more accessories and see just how fast I can make him. I do love a fast tank. I hadn't seriously considered upgrading a second weapon for any players, but it would be worth it to try the Sazh approach. It has either a damage mod of 0.5 or 2.0 whereas Highwind often either has a damage mod of 1.0 or 1.5. They're crazy. Sazh is one of the best crutial characters in the game. Snow might not be as good but he has a decent amount that others don't. If the game wasn't so easy making you not have to use a SEN then Snow would be critical to play. Try a CR-1 run and you'll know what I mean. Outside of gameplay they're pretty cool too.

	the second method i gave you requires genji glove... a single genji glove to be exact. just pls try out the sazh/h.magnums strategy, it really owns, it's so much better than trying to hit the damn thing with vanille/death... you DON'T want to make total eclipses for Sazh, just star-lvl the magnums, the str you gain from maxed magnums is far greater than the one you get from low or mid lvl total eclipses. the second method should be used when you are maxed out... you'll have a tough time with rakvija at the circle even when you max out you'r char's. i never prefered switching to sen/sen/sen, so it was pretty hard for me. ------------------- Ridess zee shoopuf? ^3^

I tried the Vanille Death thing and it worked. I died every time. This strategy looks good to me, but I sold everything to buy Dark Matter for Sazh's Procyons, and I'm pleased with the result, but now I have to farm for everything. The northern Steppes are great for monstrous fangs and smooth hides, and mission 34 is quick for bomb cores and two missions will give piezoelectric whatevers, so it's going to take a while. Is it better to sell or use perfumes? Fortunately, I found out about the cactuar/giant cactuar/cactuar prime so when I got home from work I killed little green guys at 15,000 CP a pop. Oh, and I have to get the Growth Egg. 	Man this bugger is a pain. My characters are maxed out in all catagories and I am still trying to figure out how to beat them. I've been using Snow, Fang, and Lightning and can't heal fast enough. I really don't think Earth Charms etc. really help against these Big Guys.

Is this close to the case? I guess that's true, I'd say they depend on different situations. Mainly to do with the stagger bar though. KM are you talking about Long Gui? Earth charms might not be all that great but Gaia rings cut down damage by 40% on almost all attacks. Pretty awesome.

	No I haven't gotten to the Long Gui's yet. I've only went thru (3) paths of the Titan Trials. I've read you have to complete all of them to get them to appear. I'm not looking forward to them, seeing as though I'm having a tough time beating the Adamantoise. I can't get passed defeating the forelegs. Keeping your characters healthy using only Lightning and Fang to heal is tough. I may go back to Summons. I've been trying to not use them.

	Yeah, endgame with the oretoise you need to make use of Curaja and Curasa. Cure and Cura just don't get the job done. I suggest you keep Fang though, if you have enough STR and Depro on the leg you can Highwind soon after it's staggered and that really speeds things up. Protect/Curaja/Gaia Ring should be enough unless you have really low HP. If you're still having problems even after that put Snow on SEN with Umbra, it'll cut damage by a decent amount. Also btw it's not he faultwarrens you need to complete to spawn the Long Gui; it's the titan circle on the steppe.

	Sounds like hitboxes are a sort of three dimensional grid square. So Highwind is best for tall or flying creatures. Snow's Sovereign Fist did well on Neochu, but then I was killed by pichochus. 	Not really, I was just using that as an example. Highwind has 4 attacks to it, with two low hit boxes and two high hitboxes. Sovereign fist has 2 attacks, I don't know where it's hitboxes are.

	Whereabouts is everyone farming? Or is it normal to waste a lot of time scavenging the map for other enemies/adamantoises (partly due to them normally being located far away from one another)? ------------------- It seems my other two images have expired. If anything, that's probably quite symbolic of my slow but sure expiration here.

	you should do most of your adamantoise farming in edenhall, since it is secure, you have the soldiers to restore your Tp quickly enough and after you get the guis, it's the only place you'll see the adamantoise spawn. ------------------- Ridess zee shoopuf? ^3^
