	Log in to remove this advertisement Most of them are on YouTube, like this one, which doesn't look to have been recorded off esegk's stream, but it's still not great. I think the best thing to do is to wait for the official release tomorrow and then just wait a bit more for some HD videos to pop up. But my favourite part is at the beginning, Spoiler: and I'm being very generous with my spoiler tags, because I'm not sure what people want to know and what they want to stay secret when Lightning breaks the little machine thingy, her hands are freed, she looks down at them and she just looks like she's thinking "Oh, okay. Didn't expect that to work." I'm actually surprised someone in Japan, technological superpower of the world, hasn't actually decoded and ripped the demo itself yet... I'm not sure if you can do that and if it'd even work on your PS3. If not, I can dream. ------------------- The 3rd Birthday

	Spoiler: Vanille's Campaign So I guess the guy who was with the old lady in Snow's campaign will be the new guy who accompanies Vanille during her opening campaign? Overall demo looks good. You can tell it's still a little rough around the edges but the battles thing looks to work fine and I'm loving the seamless-ness of it all. grumbleLostOdysseygrumble. I hope someone uploads the opening in HD too, however, does anyone else think it feels a little patchwork?

	No, I don't. Everyone's too busy having fun over the Versus trailer to really notice it. I actually love how people are just like "We don't know anything about Agito"-- NO WAI, SRSLY? COULD IT BE BECAUSE NO ONE GIVES IT A CHANCE? [/rage] But it had stuff about a war and animations of bombings on maps. The blonde kid prances out in his robe (note, he may not have pranced, he may have walked out normally) and soldiers pointed guns at him. He does have a point there. However, now we're getting into the discussion of whether a demo is worthless or not. I mean really, what does a demo do for the company? Square probably isn't gonna lose any customers by having a demo out. And they probably ain't gonna gain any customers either. All the demo might do is grab the attention of some people who haven't realized that Square is making this game and make some people be like "OMG, I just can't wait for this game, it's gonna be sooooo cool." But these people who haven't realized that Square is making the game, if the demo didn't exist, would probably go buy the game when it comes out and realize, "Oh Square made a FFXIII game, I never knew, what dummy I am," or they might hear about it coming out because of an advertisement they saw before it even came out. So what do you guys think? Is having the demo pretty much pointless. 	Ok watched SOME of te videoes up. Impressions -- You can't really tell much by watching anythign at this point. There's no English VA, I personally have no idea what's going on in battles, nothing's really grabbing my attention at this point other than the fact that Lightning (that still her name) is a slammin hottie who needs a sexy little VA when this coems English side. All that being said I guess I was only mildly more excited watching Persona 4 videoes and thats proven to be my all time favorite game. Actual comments - Music is good. Graphics, even in shitty YouTube quality, are good. Battle system looks... eh.. ok, can't really judge yet - it looks like SQEX probably has put more time in having them run around and makign fights look good than actually play good, but again, I'll reserve judgment. Finally, what's wrong with random battle. This is easily the SILLIEST way they could have done this. The "pro" of having enemies run around on the map is that you can go straight into battle. This doesn't even do that, you still are cutting to a different screen, just that now you're going to have to run around scowering the map for enemies instead - 0/10 in that department. Overall, none of what I saw really changed my mind about anything. We'll just have to wait for the game to be released (if that's acutaly ever happening) and pray that SQEX has returned to its former roots and worried about gameplay and story or, as has been the case and APPEARS to still be the case, if they're just flexing their graphic wizard muscles. And PS -- same in-game / cutscene graphics my ass. It cut out of that opening "Lightning shooting up people scene" we saw 20 years ago to her sticking her clubbed ass hand out of the wreckage. 	I like the fact that they are using music from the first trailer for in-battle music. I love that soundtrack. 	In the first trailer, they were announcing the game, no presenting it, so they could afford to throw in pretty graphics that wouldn't appear in the final version. So basically, their mock opening was all FMV, whereas now, part of it's in real-time. ------------------- The 3rd Birthday

Eternal Sonata did this, and so does The Last Remnant & Star Ocean 4. It's becoming a bit of a norm to have the game field be a wide open space where you can see the enemies but when you get close to them, it cuts to battle. And generally the advantage is that if you want you can try to run past the enemy (if you're fast enough) or you can come at them from the behind surprising them, and giving your team an extra turn. Likewise, they can do the same if they see you and you're not facing them. -------------------
