Such a pleasant reminder that the demo is coming out in March.
2009 is Square Enix's year.
Edit: Now on the site's fronto pageo.

Why do only Japanese magazines have the good stuff?
Anyway, great find. The first one pretty much confirms that it'll be released in 2009. Third one is pretty cool, those wolf and lizard enemies look good.
Is that a crystal shes holding in scan 4?
The beam attack by that machine in scan 5 looks pretty awesome.

The image next to the one where she's upside down? No, she's just looking at the balls in her fingers and wondering what they do.

What about that little glowing ball above her palm? Looks strange. Might be something.
I just hope it doesn't turn out to be her flipping a coin, I would feel pretty stupid.

If she was flipping a coin, I would consider HER to be stupid. But no, I'm pretty sure it is an extraordinarily bright light, to create dramatic lens flare, despite the fact that it looks terrible. Seriously, if you want lens flare, get out a camera and go make a film. Shitwits.

Just to let you know, scans 2 and 3 aren't working. At least not for me.

And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?

Here is a translation/summary of the Famitsu scans. There's heaps of new-ish info on the battle system and Vanille.

quote Final Fantasy XIII details
Lightning, Snow and the newly named Oeba Dia Vanille are all l’Cie, who fal’Cie communicate with through “Vision”. Hmm...
quote The 3rd Birthday details
However, an early trailer gives the impression that as this power develops; Aya becomes susceptible to wild hallucinations which blur the lines between the world of The Twisted and reality. Bitchez who are out of their minds must be Square Enix's new character focus this gen.
quoteFamitsu says there are some tragic story behind her. There always is.
quoteThe Holy Government army, where Lightning used to be a former soldier Which relates to my "Similarity to FFVII is directly proportionate to FFXIII's popularity" comment I made a few months back.
quoteLightning was formerly a member of the Holy Government army and in a cut scene (above right), she can be seen telling somebody that she wasn’t fired or being kicked out from the army, but do so voluntarily. Oh, and here I thought she was some sort of rebellious hardass. But I wonder what it was that made her leave? The blonde woman must have been making frequent passes at her.
quoteIf there are other members in the party, they will help you out with moves such as follow-up attacks on enemies that you just sent flying away. Makes it sound as if other party members will actually be useful for something other than buffing, unlike FFXII.
quoteLightning is up against a large size “Heavy Attack Manasvin” made by the Holy Government. The machine is being used for patrol as well and the massive looking laser attack seems deadly. Guard Scorpion, FFVII. I'm choosing to blame Kitase.
Aside for the battle system, I see absolutely no innovation at all. I'll just go back to waiting for The 3rd Birthday, then.

They'll probably rewrite that translation. Translated stuff often doesn't sound right when put into English.

Well, now Shuyu will be dissing both FF games now.
I do not have a problem with it. IT IS possible to have a similar plot and have many different ways of having it turn out...
If it is very similar to FFVII, then majority would probably like it considering what FFVII has done, however the older fans that have been on the FF train for awhile will be a little pissed, myself included...
