re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

Morrowind is 5 years old. Beth Soft aren't going to put anything else into the game. Hell they won't put anymore into Oblivion and that is only a year old

The only way you will gain new content is through the PC version and the modding community made up of normal everyday gamers but even that is a mission in its own as most have moved to Oblivion or other games

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

Then speak in past tense. Your title is in present tense meaning if someone was to read it they would think what I said

As to the combat...there is a mod for the PC that gives Oblivion combat, it was released before Oblivion

As to what I think they should have put in the game. well nothing really, that is what the PC version is for

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

wow shadowj, way to nit-pick. here let me help...
"what do you think they should"[insert]have[/insert]"put in morrowind"
does that help? just one word...

but like I was saying in another thread, Enchantable Arows or pieces of paper that have tons of enchantment points... basically make your own scrolls!

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

Call it nit-picking if you want (not advisable to try and smart mouth a moderator ) but I would call it getting the facts straight. Like I said others could interpret the title just like I did and since I have been here awhile I know how members work and they would have done exactly the same thing.

So lose the attitude otherwise your stay here won't be an enjoyable one, believe me

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

You know MOrrowind should really share the same thing as Oblivion. they are really good games but in Mrwd, wen u kill an enemy over a cliff, they like float, on hills they float, in oblilvion they actually move when you hit them on the floor.(sigh) it really does annoy me in Mororrowind;(

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

Don't forget morrowind was worked on between 1999-2002 (released in 2002). Oblivion was worked on between 2002-2006 (released in 2006)

Back with Morrowind no one knew what Radiant A.I was, let alone Havok. Technology has come along way since then and that is why all the recent games have ragdoll effects (bodies flying around, limbs moving around etc.), havok (objects reacting to when they are moved, thrown or something hits into them) and specifically to Oblivion, radiant A.I. (which gives NPC's schedules and such)

I am not quite sure but I think there are some modders working on bringing Oblivion elements into Morrowind such as NPC schedules etc. but Morrowind is a very unstable game so the effects may not be exactly like Oblivion's

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

Shadow you have a point and i have as yet to find the PC edition of the GOTY version. so if you have any sites rlating to it i would appreciate the info. as for the havok engine i still think there a bit well... twitchy and somewhat useless. as for the old Morrowind. it misses the whole discriptive aspect of direction.

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

I miss the banking they had in daggerfall along with the climbing buildings and over walls. i loved to climb up a the side of the houses and sneak into the top door, and rob them blind. shops closing at certain times so you can break into them and steal undesturbed. i mean how realistic is it to always be in a shop 24 - 7 you know. riding horses in morrowind would have been nice. buying a ship. buying a houses and selling them and renting rooms to create the cash flow. daggerfall had graphical limits, but i compare daggerfall and morrowind to final fanticy 7 to 10. sometimes the game play that offers you more to do, is better than seeing the vains on a leaf as it blows by. now to improve on atmospheric weather like, lightning that hits the ground that can damage you and cause a fire that if the wind was blowing the fire would stir in that direction. lightning that can damage you among bad guys. what do you think of yourself in a battle during a storm, before you swing your blade you see a guy get aflamed by a bolt of lightning. and runs around blind or towwored you as in the pc game blood. in redneck rampage there where twisters. imagine riding horse back down a woodland trail as the trees are blowing like in metal gear solid and a huge tornado tears acrossed the path and erasing a trail through the woods. i guess i am getting carried away. but i would enjoy more ambiant play off the environment for thoughs who like the off beaten path.

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

haha and you can only get hit by llightning if you are wearing full metal armor . I like any game that game that has ragdoll physics. What I'd like to see more of is some better destruction spells. I mean, fire damage on target and such is nice but I want to cast lightning from the sky, cause a small earthquake, or do something other than fling a ball of confused pixels at his torso. This game is so centered around melee that I think destructive magic was greatly neglected. It is really hard to play the game using magic only, trust me I've tried. Another thing I dream about in my sleep is destructable environments. I know with the technology they had back then it would be a strech to implement all these things but speculating is what this forum is about.

re: wat do you think they should put in morrowind

lol fox, i agree some beter effects for the spells would have made me turn and go "hey look a lightning bolt...(frys gaurd) that was fun ima' go find some keys now...."
insted of having the ole' poke and prod tactics that were the spear. also distructable enviroments might cause some lag problems but it would be totaly worth it to smash someones door in with a war hammer...lol it would be like, you: "SMASH" guy:" what in the world..." you:"SMASH" guy:(dead). gore would have been a nice adition too... instead of having poofs of red after you attack them having you cut them to bits would have been fun. especialy if when you did it (infront of someone) you became known as a butcher... *cough* axe murderer *cough* *cough* but hay they did the best they could with what they could and i respect that. oblivion ROX!!
