HELP....urshilasku mission....character just dies on its own...

I dont know if i have a corrupted xbox hardrive or the disc is bad...anyway i took the mission from Caius to speak to 2 guys in Urshilasku Camp(that i am the nevarine etc) and unfortunately ive saved the game in only one slot so i cant go back....but my character will be standing there and all of a sudden..just die...i took every scroll or potion of healing and or disease before this happens every time i reload...to no avail...any one else run into this? It looks like a waste of time to create another character(had almost 2 million gold with this one)to start all over...i checked out my restore slot which had a character from the very beginning...i am looking at him now and he doesnt die..so i assume when u reach that part of the disc(urshilaku)it must be corrupt...actually ...for a while i would die when i tried to travel on the gnissis silt strider...i would click TRAVEL...i would hear my guy do the AAAIIII!!!!and wind up dead on the other side in ALD_RUHN...someone give me a heads up much obliged....DAMN XBOX>..i think i need the 360...
ps...could be just a matter of using cleaning disc but i am doubting it..out

I think the silt strider thing may be that you jumped before hitting travel.

meh I must be lucky then since I always jump about even when teleporting and such...never damaged myself
