Indiana Jones--last note from dead adventurer which speaks of his dog whom he is nicknamed after, Indiana. I'll try and find which tomb and post it here. I think it is Omalen AT. Here is "A Dying Man's Last Words":

It's been many days since the collapse. I have had many good and exciting adventures. I fear this is the last. I am still unsure what happened. Was it a trap that caused the collapse? I didn't hear the click of any device. Perhaps it was simply a freak accident, and I was simply in the wrong place at the right time. Regardless, I now lie here, half buried in the collapse, with crushed legs. The pain was unbearable for the first day or so. Or was it? Who knows? You lose track of time in a place like this. Especially in a situation such as this. The pain has all but left though. Getting used to pain is a battle all in itself. My time now runs short. I will die here, in this tomb. No better place for a dead man.

My adventures have taken me all over. I have been places that man never knew existed. I have retrieved artifacts and fine treasures that were thought to be myth. From chalices of origins long lost, to gems with power unthought of by man, to powerful religious artifacts that house more interest to madmen than sane. I shall at least take these fine memories with me to the grave.

I shall miss my father. Like me, he was also a man of adventure. I followed in his footsteps, though I was blessed with far more luck than he. Until now, of course. He shall be on his own now. At least I am spared any more jokes about my childhood pet. And my students...how I treasured teaching them the secrets and alien concepts of all things unknown and mysterious. May they be successful.

I do not go down along though. With my crippled body, in this heap of earth, I am accompanied by my trusty leather, my steel, and most of all, my token hat. Unable to reach them under the mass, I know they are untouchable and safe. I will not die alone.

Elton Brand--possibly named after basketball player Elton Brand who is with the Los Angeles Clippers suggested by laj.

Vikings--a tribute to the Vikings of ancient history. Definitly odd since Morrowind doesn't reference other real historical groups. Referenced in the misc quest associated with Stormkiss.

a more complex one...
in jobasha's rare book store ther is a potted plant named Charles and from what xenobird recently posted Charles was from an older movie called "Little Shop of Horrors" which i have seen but didnt remember that part, and i think that the plant in the movie mutated because of like a meteor or sumtin and Charles in jobasha's store has meteor slime on it

hmmm this might not be from a movie but Larrius Varro, the guy who sends ya to kill the Commona tong sure reminds me of Gladius Maximus from Gladiator

well with the voice and all...jus a thought but other than that I haven't seen any other things from movies or legends apart from the ones mentioned

*shrugs* I dunno it was somethin along the line of Gladius maximus but I haven't watched the film for ages so I can't remember but there's jus somethin about Varro that reminded me of him

The whole morrowind thing reminds me of Lord of the rings, you know the whole bad guy in the volcano, creating the one ring = creating the 6th house. Elves, orcs, man, dwarves, enchanted rings and weapons, etc... anyone else see it?

I couldn't remember a religious parallel on this forum. I know on Xenosaga forum it a big issue.

Boy, I'd love to see that movie but my youngest son would probably get bored and run me to the bathroom and concession stand so much I'd miss the movie. I loved the first one.
