what is the main quest???!!!

everyone is talking about the main quest but i have no idea what it is!! is it the blades because thats what i thought at first but then i heard that it wasnt from my brother... now i hope i was wrong b ecause i killed the gay guy that you have to deliver the package to in the first mission before i gave him the package.. please tell me i was wrong!

ShadowJ is right once again! Dagoth Ur is a "plague", but really everyone is a plague too, in their own way.

Go to Vivec's Palace in Vivec and kill Vivec. You should be at a fairly high level to attempt this or use the Super Glitch to raise your stats. Remove the inactive Wraithguard from his dead, cold body. The Wraithguard is not activated so this is the next step. Before you leave the Palace take "Dagoth Ur's Plans" and "The Plan to Defeat Dagoth Ur" from the room in which you just killed Vivec. Then, head to Tel Fyr and go to the Corprusarium and find Yagrum Bagarn. He will agree to help you because you have "Dagoth Ur's Plans" and "The Plan to Defeat Dagoth Ur" in your inventory. If you forget to get them or misplace them, don't worry, if your Reputation is at least 30 or your Reputation is 20 and you have a Disposition of 90 he will still help you. If your Disposition needs to be higher just bribe him. He'll tell you some history and tell you what he needs. He was one of Kagrenac's craftsmen and he figures he can do it if you get him Kagrenac's Planbook and Kagrenac's Journal. Off you go to Red Mountain! The planbook is in Kagrenac's Library at Tureynulal and the Journal is in his study at Endusal. Return to Yagrum and he'll activate the Wraithguard. Make sure your health is above 225 and you are fully healed otherwise you won't survive equipping it! This just happens the first time you equip it though. Now, to back to Red Mountian and get Keening and Sunder. You MUST have these two weapons to kill the Heart of Lorkhan otherwise Ur will not die. Keening is in Odrosal in the tower. Sunder is in Vemynal is guarded by Dagoth Vemyn so kill him and take it. Remember to equip Wraithguard before equipping either Keening or Sunder or you will die a fast and horrible death. Now, go to Ur's Citedel. The Dwarven crank is too the left of the door. Turn the crank and run to the door to enter cause the door shuts very quickly. You talk to Ur and fight him and he will retreat to another chamber. This is the chamber where the Heart of Lorkhan is located within Akulakhan which is the weapon of mass destruction which Ur is attemping to complete. Ignore Ur and find the Heart. Strike the Heart once with Sunder and then five times with Keening and now you can kill Ur off by any means that you want to. On your way out of the Citadel, Azura will praise you and give you her ring.

i never knew there was a main quest . after i complete the main quest can I kill everybody in the world?
