Sorry buddy, but the famous restart is the only way... Get used to it... I can't count how many times I have had to restart, but then hey, look at the knowledge and experiance I've gotten for doing it...

Actually for the houses there is a bug to get into Telvanni and Redoran, I'll find the info later and edit this post and as for the statue do what Fah says but the buildin he's tlkin about is Ghorak Manor and the Orc is on the first floor in a suit like outfit(can't remember his name)

joined House Telvanni first and reached grandmaster, then I spoke with Duke Vedam Dren about his brother, Orvas Dren, and received a message that went something like, oh, so he's dead? well then i guess you're the grandmaster of house hlaalu.

When i checked then, i was a Hireling in House Hlaalu and could do the quests, although some conflict, ala Odirniran, where being in both Telvanni and Hlaalu i had to kill everyone there, but so far nothing earthshaking. I'm about to build a stronghold for Hlaalu now tho... and as i already have the Telvanni one and I guess I'll have to see if i can get two...

I found out you can get two strongholds, but Vedam Dren won't issue you another contract, so you'll have to steal it from him...

lol actually I don't know the guy I jus got it from a site I found and the guy had shadow in his name...it's jus a very weird coincidence that's all

i used to play morrowind a lot and i found a glitch to get into house redoran and house hlaalu. it was really and accident. ok i cant remeber any exact names cause i havnet played in a long time. first i got to be grandmaster of redoran, then i killed the guy at the dren plantation who is in hlaalu and then went to the place in the fort near vivec, i talked to the hlaalu guy there and somehow got in both. i think thats how i did it, but i quit playing long ago because i got bored being level 41 and all, i could kill anything and everything, but i hope this helps
