In outstandingly awesome fashion, Rockstar Games has made every radio station from Grand Theft Auto III in 2001 through Grand Theft Auto IV's Episodes of Liberty City available via Spotify and iTunes playlists. With 69 radio playlists, in addition the the already available repository of GTA commercials in The Advertising Council, hours of nostalgic audio is now at our fingertips. Rockstar spoils us.
Of course, it's not without its imperfections. For instance, certain songs are absent from certain playlists due to likely complicated licensing agreements and other assorted legal issues. Also, the talk radio stations in Grand Theft Auto are all still unavailable. If you run into a missing song, I'd recommend trying the same playlist on the other service, i.e. jumping from iTunes to Spotify or vice versa.
It's unbelievably kind of Rockstar to make all of their radio playlists available at the click of a button. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if we would remember their kindness when Grand Theft Auto V rolls out September 17. CRANK UP THE VROCK.
