I had just finished Snow Storm and was crossing the road at some traffic lights to get to some health and I was pretty much dead. A car nearby had stopped at the lights and I casually walked past, pretty happy at my escape from the police in a Bobcat when suddenly, my saviour, the Bobcat came hurtling over my head, slamming into a nearby wall and then hitting me in the face. My only guess is some idiot hit my idle Bobcat in my direction.

Does anyone else think that this game is bad compared to the other GTA games? They just removed so much stuff, and I have a hard time telling myself that this is Grand Theft Auto. It doesn't feel like GTA at all. The classic crime/drug/stealing feel is just gone. Niko lacks any personality or depth, the whole time he's just "I want money, I want money, I want money." They've removed so many good and great ideas from San Andreas and even some classic ideas that are just part of GTA.

Really, the only thing that gives this game credibility is the awesome graphics and upped AI, and a couple minor things. I'm bored with this game, and I find myself going back and adding to the 350+ hours I have on San Andreas.

Please don't flame me out of here, even though I'm probably the only one on this forum who feels this way. But you can't deny that they left a lot out that should have been in.

I never owned GTA III or San Andreas, but I clocked in enough hours to know how each one played. I'm not disappointed with IV, for it's length and depth, and while Rockstar surely could have put more stuff in from San Andreas, I think they did a marvelous job with GTA IV. Hopefully the DLC will include something new to keep it alive, whether it be new missions, a new island or even just some new features.

The controls are exactly the same as previous games aren't they? And the lock on has always been shit in all the GTA games, but it adds to the charm and you can only laugh at it's ridiculousness.

He's my favourite protagonist so far.

I'm still a Vercetti fan but Niko is a cool character. I like how he can keep a calm head whereas CJ from San Andreas couldn't. He can also tell a few decent jokes.
