Cop/Vigilante Missions

I don't know if this has been brought up. But I was just wondering if you get paid for doing 'the most wanted' cop missions. I've just completed most of them but don't see my money increasing at all. Do I need to go somewhere to get paid?

re: Cop/Vigilante Missions

No, you do not get paid (as far as I know). However, the criminals once killed will drop cash and a weapon (usually a pistol).

Also, it is a necessary activity for 100% completion. So pay or not, I would recommend doing the cop missions.

re: Cop Missions

How many are there? I did 10 but I didn't go back to it since. I suppose there'll be another 10 waiting for me when I check it.

re: Cop/Vigilante Missions

I thought there were 10, but if I remember right, there may be 10 in each area, for a total of 30.

Oh I added "Vigilante" to the title and listed this one in the Topic Listings thread.

re: Cop/Vigilante Missions

It's probably worth noting that the "Most Wanted" list is different to the "Current Crimes" side mission.

That I wasn't aware of. I glanced through the guide. Can you explain that in some detail, Xanctuary? Because you lost me.

Thank you for the answer. I thought I was just doing something wrong.

re: Cop/Vigilante Missions

When accessing the Police Computer you're presented with four options. The "Call Backup" option is self explanatory and you really only require the search during missions.

Selecting "View Current Crimes" gives you list of three crimes currently in progress around Liberty City. Once you assign yourself to one, you're given a countdown timer and the location of the criminals. Taking them out completes the crime. You're then free to select another crime or to just call it a day. These are more ordered versions of the traditional Vigilante missions and the criminals you kill usually leave weapons and cash for you to pick up. Completing twenty unlocks the "Cleaned The Mean Streets" achievement.

The "Most Wanted" selection, on the other hand, is a fixed list that works more like an assassination side mission. Wiping out all ten unlocks the "Manhunt" achievement.

Neither have to be completed in one sitting.

re: Cop/Vigilante Missions

Okay, I am a little confused here. Which of these gives you percentage toward 100%? Or do both of them?

re: Cop/Vigilante Missions

I initially thought just the "Most Wanted" side mission, but both are separate statistics on the Pause screen. I'd do both, just to be safe. They're actually quite fun!

Both.

Doing 20 normal Vigilante Missions counts for 2.5% completion.
Killing all 30 Most Wanted criminals, too, counts for 2.5% completion.

Achievement? What achievement?
