Since I use Jigglypuff, and have to be a little more careful not to get smashed, I tend to hit and run until I see a break in my opponent's offense/defense, and combo like hell, usually taking them off the stage and attempting WOP. If their damage is high enough, of course I'll try a rest.

I fall offstage. Anything cheap is what I want to learn.

When I'm in a hard situation, I try to roll behind the person trying to hit and I quickly use the C buttons for smash attacks.

I prefer a "death from above" approach. I main Pikachu, and often come in from the air, either with dair, fair, bair, up-B, or side-B, and sometimes a B. On the ground, I make sure to use down-A and side-A a lot, along with the occasional grab and rolling backward throw. When they're really close, I'll just hold down A for a few seconds and watch the hilarity ensue. Then once they get weak, thunder takes care of them, along with anyone closeby or directly above me.
