Yes we had a few spam threads but no forum is perfect. I have slowly watched over the past 2 years of how the quality of the posts in this forum has waned. We went from tournament reports, character guides and inspiration posts from "Whats your favorite ____" "Who should be in the next Smash bros" and the same asinine posts over and over. As a result many people have stopped coming here regularly. Myself included, and instead spend a majority of their time over in Smashboards or Allisbrawl. Neoseeker is not those sites and cannot offer the same services that those sites can and as an experienced player I am fully aware of this. However those afformentioned sites were around still a year ago and we had plenty of activity. Something needs to change. Seriously. I am not the type of person to just complain and do nothing. I have tried to restore the quality of this forum for a while now. I don't make threads unless they are useful or GDs or crew threads. The threads you mentioned, the Favorite threads or characters in the next SSB, they have always been around the forum. They were around back when the game was first released. Though we kept the SSB4 talk more to one thread. Tournament Report threads aren't really my fault. Members make those when they go to a Tournament. Character Guide threads have died out because the general interest of Smash Brothers Brawl has died a ton since the games release. Another thing I cannot stop. A lot of the members don't like the game anymore because they find it to be a horrible game. Why continue to post here if they don't like the game? Possibly for some of the members who post here and that's it. A year ago, there were a ton of people who enjoyed this game and they have grown out of the game in that time and the forum it's self. This Brawl forum has been around for close to 4 years and active for those 4 years. Not all game forums stay active for that long. That's quite a feat it's self. Neoseeker is completely different from the sites you mention. AllisBrawl and Smashboards is directed to one specific series and that's the Smash Brothers series. Neoseeker is a technology website so that includes video games and much more. Members complain about Neoseeker dying or inactive, when it receives a lot more posts than Smashboards and AllisBrawl. Both Dojo and Crew forum have died down a lot as well because many members have quit or sold Brawl. Crew forum is meant to be a crew of Brawl and discuss the game. There's not much use for them there. Dojo only has the Neoseeker Weeklies going on. I demoted from the Dojo forum because it got inactive and didn't need two moderators. Rust handles the forum fine even with the little activity it gets. A lot of members that do brawl are in Crews so they have little use for the Dojo forum. Rather than doing that, try to reason with the person or ask them why they feel that way as opposed to shooting them down in a drunken rage. Maybe another game thread outside of the Caption Contest might serve to raise interest. But bashing newcomers when they come in uninformed is surely not the way to advocate for the forum.

And what else can we talk about: Current Metagame Stage and Character Discussions Matchups Re-makes on character guides Tournament Reports (online and offline) It helps people a great deal when they can discuss these things with trusted friends rather than some of the cliquey elitists on the other sites also. We need to enlist the help of the forums more knowledgable members and start revamping stuff. A video thread would pretty cool also if it were categorized and updated every so often. I think it would be cool to have a nice little video database to look up for those who are trying to watch a specific match or something. The one about the order you prefer of the Smash Brother series is a fine topic. The only problem I can see is the grammar and how it was wrote. That could be easily improved by me editing the title to make it look better. it just didn't need one member to post and act like an ass about somebodies grammar since not everyone uses proper English on the internet. The second is also fine as well. Yes it has been made a few times but the other threads are outdated so it's fine for it to be brought back up. Only problem again that I see is the grammar. If you see differently then let me know. An Official Textured Hacking thread has been made I believe. Or a more update to date. I believe Neku or Larc made one before that has now been buried by other threads and I know Ultimate Shadow made this one earlier in the week which could be official. Video Thread we have. It died because members were getting mad when they kept getting redirected to it when they wanted to make their own thread to promote a video of theirs that they made. Which is perfectly understandable. But again, maybe you want a more updated Video thread that we could have pinned(or it could be an added post in a stickied thread) that has an updated first post of videos that people have created or videos of some of the top Brawl players. One for reference for things such as "How to ____", one for epic pro matches and one for us. They should be screened and approved before added though. 	You're lucky I even replied this week you bastard lol I refuse to post via text wall when I'm feeling this uninspired. And who the real lazy one? Letting that guide drift in your inbox for two months. Lazy mofo. Also I know that much. Though to be honest I'm proficient with over half the roster and I've actually sat down and played and learned them. Though I'll probably just redo my Snake guide, do Falco, force Steam to collaborate with me on the Lucario one or just make him do it, maybe do a new Fox one with Sushi, and redo the existing ROB one and call it a day. And I'd rather just divide the sections into Pro and ~~Scrubs~~ Neo combo videos could go in those sections. You could organize the Neo section via user. Like just list the person who submitted the video and list all videos they've submitted under them so its organized. You honestly think you'll be that motivated to work on that many guides? XD They'd all have to go through me first for approval either way. Rules are rules ya know. Btw maybe see if Trela wants to help on the Lucario guide too. It's really not that much work really. My Game of the Months and Featured Character threads in General Mario Brothers take a lot of work to do. Some of them anyways.
