UUUUGH, WI-FI LAG

'Cause Nintendo is too lazy to fix it.

I think it's because of the dual layer disc, but that's just me.

i cant even find anyone to play to see if it lags, except two matches last night. one froze and disconnected before it said Go, and one disconnected a few seconds before the finish. but im not complaining, because i had about a 2 second lag during the fight. i wanted to test it again this morning, but i cant even find anyone to test it with. *sigh*

It can do with different variables.

They are mainly:

• How far you live away
• Your Connection
• Their Connection

I heard many complaints about the lag, which worried me... a little.
Basically, if your connection is rubbish all the time, you should try to fix it, speed it up, or just stop playing, because, (sorry if this sounds mean), it just ruins the game for other people.
However, if it only seems to screw up in certain games, someone else is to blame. I always try to leave after these matches, (if the "lagger" doesn't do it for me), so I can stay with faster people. Elitist? Yes, and sorry.
I'm going to sound like a promotional advert here, but my BT home hub's wireless works very efficiently, giving me no, if very little lag.

On a side note, hooray for the surge of European Brawlers! An army of newbies, including me, who are easy for Japanese/American veterans to defeat.

You're kidding, aren't you? I know Melee has differences, but I didn't think Brawl did. So even after all that waiting, we can't even play against the Americans? So much for worldwide multiplayer.

I'm not certain it is region-locked. All of a sudden there's a surge of people having more lag. Fights across the Atlantic probably would have more lag than regional fights.

It wouldn't make sense for them to make a change to one version of the game which would prevent the biggest multiplayer game they have released since they started out from having worldwide mutliplayer when another game has already shown it can be done.

If I can get my console connected to the Internet, I'd give you my Friend Code and we could try it to see if it works. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it, but I can have a go.
