	I like Ike the best. His final smash is one of the best (though it doesn't guarantee a kill, it does cause massive damage to where Ike could easily kill afterwards). His recovery is awe-inspiring and works great against edge-guarders. Though he is slow, a seasoned player could balance it with his quick attacks (A combo, aerial back attack, and side B attack). And he is so dang powerful and his taunts are epic. Luigi is too WEIRD, Link is a little too slow and unbalanced, capt. falcon is good and fast (but not as good as ike), and kirby is too small and weak (and his final smash is worthless!!).

How can it be awful?! His side B (...whatever its called) is basically a free hit, but other than that you can just jump in front of him and stop all of his forward momentum. As for his Aether, it doesn't auto-grab the ledge immediately. Plenty of characters have moves to hit Ike while he's trying to recover with it. Not only that, but he often gets hit to the point where neither of his recovery options will help. Besides that though, Snake's taunt > Ike's Aether. How can it be awful?! Ike can move very well vertically and horizontally, but he cannot do BOTH at the same time. Seph pretty much explained why both of them can suck though. Quick Dash can be airdodged and Aether can be gimped by Snake's Box and a Counter from Marth or another Ike.

	The good thing about Ike's aether recovery is if you miss, you don't have to wait long, floating down in helpless mode before you die... But seriously, Ike can be gimped so easily it's stupid. For his side B, you can just take the hit and he'll enter helpless mode and slowly fall down while you probably don't die unless you're about 150% damage. He has a good horizontal recovery and a good vertical recovery, but no combination so that goes together to make a mediocre recovery if your opponent knows what 'edgeguarding' means. ------------------- SSBB: 2020-1443-1767

Olimar's down B has awesome super armour, and in Ike's neutral B is pretty good. That's because these super armours are at the instant the move starts, and just as the hitbox is released, so the timing is extremely useful. The fire emblem Counter moves gimp both of Ike's recoveries. It's endlessly amusing to counter Aether, you press downB just as he's throwing up the sword, then he jumps up into the counterattack, usually being hit back far enough that he can't recover, and is still open to further edgeguarding. And besides, even ignoring gimping, all Ike has is a few powerful moves, each slower than the last.
