I have lots of fun playing Brawl from a competitive mindset.

Quite simply, these tourneyfag statements are comparable to a random streetballer saying NBA pros don't have any fun at all and ruin the game.

Now I know people will be like "LOL DURAN1 SPORTS AND GAMES ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT NOOB" and I will preemptively respond in a fashion such as this: Professional Sports got where it was through several years. Basketball started out as old men tossing a ball into a basket for leisure. The fundamental is there: competitively playing a game. Yes, a sport is a game, and physical contact does not change this.

I have fun playing Brawl and Melee with a competitive mindset. It's not 'passive' fun, as many gamers tend to enjoy, such as a good storyline or casually earning trophies. It's a highly dynamic, fluid fun, where I pit myself against someone just as competitive as me, and whether I win or lose, the experience of playing in a dynamic, evolving, competitive atmosphere is fun.

I don't think all 64 of your WiFi casual buddies will match up with 1 of the good friendships I have made over Melee through competition.
