 Character Name: Captain Olimar & Pikmin First Appearance: Pikmin[Gamecube.2001] List of Game Appearances: Pikmin is one of Nintendo’s newest franchises that have been a big hit. First appearing on the Gamecube back in 2001. Pikmin managed to surprise many people and become a popular game. For those who don’t know what the Pikmin games are about. Here is a description from Neoseekers own profile on the first game: ” As an alien, you've crash-landed on a strange new world populated by multi-colored ant-like creatures called Pikmin. With the aid of the Pikmin you must find the pieces of your ship. In return you must help the Pikmin survive in their harsh world. Assign them a variety of tasks (fighting off enemy creatures, building, resource collecting) during the day and have them carry treasure back to their homes before sunset. Interact with the lush 3D environments.” Now some did wonder how Captain Olimar would work considering his size. Many knew that they could easily resize this character like they have done with other characters in the past. The other interesting thing about Captain Olimar is that he has Pikmin to come along with him. They will fight as his allies. Without the Pikmin, Olimar could not do a Smash Attack. The question that remains as of right now is what will his moves be and his Final Smash? Not to mention how much of a role do the Pikmin have with his move-set? Discuss the pair here. Small note: I don't believe Pikmin or Olimar were in any other games. If they were then let me know. I have a feeling they might of made and appearance in Animal Crossing but could be wrong. I really don't get why people jumped to conclusions about his size in the first place. Everyone assumes he's small because of the size of the objects compared to him, but did it ever occur to anyone that the pikmin planet is a world of giants? Not saying that it is, but people are too ready to jump to conclusions without any proof.

Would you really count Melee as an appearance, since it was only a trophy? It wasn't counted for Pit.
Anyway, I loved the Pikmin games and thought Olimar would be a cool addition with scope for creativity in the design. Currently my second character to use right after Pokémon Trainer. I want to see how they put those Pikmin into action.  -------------------  | |

Olimar is my first to use, unless someone even more incredibly awesome comes along. I've always been a huge fan of the series, ever since I first tried out the first Pikmin game, and I can't wait to play as Olimar.
