Nero and DMC5? ?(Spoilers) - Page 9

This is all make believe. I mean we don't know what a man would do in those type of situations. It's a story, it's not real. I mean Nero maybe a realist but we can say the same about him in these situations. That there is no way anyone would do or can do what Nero and Dante do in these supernatural situations. As for getting stabbed and then jumping off a building, well like I said, he's a demon so I would expect him to be able to take certain attacks and brush them off.

Yo BloodyDove and CapcomDevil, you are highly-larious and very entertaining:P. You're off on this amazing tangent when your point in the first place was who is a better game character. Now, although fearing I may have my head typed off by the pair of you, I am going to ask a possibly crucial question. Even though I'm sure the moral behaviour of the characters is very important, (faint whiff of sarcasm there:D)who would you say is the best character for gameplay and weapons?

Well in terms of game play and weapons? I have to say as much as I was against Capcom making the new for a game series that didn't need one as far as I'm concerned, Nero's gamplay certainly added something new to the series which I do have to admit to that. I thought the bringer idea where you can bring your opponents in closer to you to perform combos with your sword and gun was a pretty cool concept. Just wished they could've fleshed it out more because it's primary functions is basically to slam your opponents and snatch them closer. Which isn't a bad thing, but certainly not enough. I mean the DB does other things like helps you look for secrete areas and has the ability to use the gyro blades around the stages which is nice, but in terms of an actual move list. You're pretty much snatching enemies closer, charging your shots and slamming them down in terms of the DB. He can upgrade how he uses the sword and what not but Nero lacked a proper weapon selection as well as a sizable move list. There is only so much you can do with just a gun and a sword. Not to mention a lot of his moves are just mimicked off of the original characters. But like I said, the Devil bringer was a cool concept and I do have to give capcom credit for that.

But as the best characters for weapons and all around gameplay? Dante is the winner by far. More combos, more ways to execute your combos and even an updated list when you are in DT mode (Which Nero also had but Dante had a much better move list) Dante has the ability to not only switch fighting styles but also has a decent sized weaponry and a large move list. Although it was significantly cut down from Devil May Cry 3, it was still enough to keep me wanting to reply the 7 best missions in the game ( my opinion at least). As cool as the Devil Bringer is, give me Devil Arms, styles and an updated move list any day of the week.

The three guns alone already have a nice selection, but then throw in three devil arms, and an update move list when in DT mode, I'm a happy camper. Like I said it's all about weapon selection and variety for me. The more weapons, the more you can expand your gamplay with your characters. Which is another reason why Devil May Cry 4 let me down big time. We were promised more weapons than the third and more move lists and we didn't get that. And we were promised more Dante, but that's another rant for another day.

But as stated before, in the end it's what you prefer. Me, I go for the original. You can't change the gameplay TOO much.

Like I said playing with DMC 4 as Dante was more traditional and more entertaining. There is only so much one can do with a sword a gun and a "devil Bringer" which is why Dante felt more at home with me. Overall the lack of Dante in this game did irk me. 7 missions as the namesake character is almost like an insult to the fans.

Dante liking pizza is more of a character trait rather a story motivator or plot line lol. I dunno maybe this whole love story in DMC 4 is mainly to get that stupid lovey dove mushy feeling from the angsty gamers out there. Personally it did nothing for the story and it did nothing for me except added an unwanted cheesy moment factor in it's story line. But like I said, that's just me,

Why do you presume that there was one and only one ruler in hell? Vergil was also a ruler in Hell along with Mundus and obviously Hell became too small for the both of them, so they collided (at the end of DMC3 when Vergil was wounded after his final duel with Dante) - with the outcome of Vergil being defeated and enslaved - So to clarify you weren't entirley right...
