Wow I am pretty surprised that no Thread was made on this bad boy already. So anyways what role do you guys think Ocelot will play in MGS 4?

They said he won't be in much. It will be Liquid controlling him most of the time. It would still be nice to see him take action and show off his revolver skills.

Couldn't Liquid only take control over Ocelot by the presence of Snake? If not I am sure he can find a way to control Liquid to the point where he is stable enough to fight on his own.

I still don't expect an entire takeover, at least throughout the whole game. Ocelot will appear at least once in my opinion. The trailer didn't exactly give us anything concrete, but I can't see the last Metal Gear game without a trace of the real Ocelot at some point. But yes, Kojima did a great job on him so far, just as he did the other characters.

you have to admit it though, you can't end a game the way you did on MGS2 then refuse to go any further along the lines of Ocelot/Liquid and their connection with the Patriots

They said he won't be in much. It will be Liquid controlling him most of the time. If that's the case, then they just lost a lot of cool points with me. I suddenly don't feel very interested in buying the game now.
Ocelot has been the main protagonist throughout the series, so why would he suddenly not be in this fourth game very much? Liquid was cool, but he got killed, so I've never been a fan of this whole "arm takeover" thing. Reducing Ocelot's role is going to do nothing but hurt the entire game.

I want Ocelot to kill Liquid. So I must have missed something while playing MGS3. Can somebody provide the info in detail regarding Ocelot being The Boss' and The Sorrow's son?

Yeah The Sorrow was the guy and The Boss was the girl, and you know that when they get really together is when they make the baby who was Ocelot. That's how I can explain it. And if you didn't know MGS 3 was in the past so that's how they would compute.
Anyway Ocelot should be in the game just as much as Liquid should because they are both have equal parts in the game.

Rofl. Well I figured that much, but I mean when during MGS3 did they say that? And does Ocelot know this? If so, what was his reaction? Does Snake (Jack) know this? Or is it for the player's eyes only? Did The Boss know who he is?

(1) After you fight ocelot and fall into the cave you call eva and she tells BB that ocelot is the son of "some legendary soldier" who gave birth to him on the battlefield by Cesarean section and has a scar shaped like a snake. after you meet the boss in the end you see a snake shaped scar. (2) No (3) Possibly (4) Some suspect but not positive, most probably not

Thank you! You win 1,000,000 internets! So that's why. By the time MGS3 got all Rurouni Kenshin/DBZ badguys on me, I decided to just play the game, shut up, and not ask any questions, so needless to say I didn't use the TCVR very much. (Or as I called it back in the days of MG on the NES, TVVCR)  Funny to think of The Boss slapping him around like that. XD Her "What a Nub!" expression could have burned that much more. I find it more than odd that they wrote off Eva so easily though. I mean, what if she got preggers and eventually had a baby. *super psycho mode enabled* What if Raiden was of her? What if Raiden's blood saves Old Snake? What if that had something to do with his quote in the E3 footage? What if I shut up about now? -,O

By the time MGS3's overly super powered, super natural enemies had revealed themselves, I decided to just play the game, shut up, and not ask any questions, so needless to say I didn't use the radio to talk to any of the characters, other than Sigint.

It's funny how The Boss beat on Ocelot in MGS3. Had she known it was her own son, the scholding would have been that much more hilarious.
I also find it odd that they wrote off Eva so easily though. (MIA on some random mission in China)
Her and Jack were 'together' once. What if she got pregnant and possibly had a baby. Think Kill Bill, and why Beatrix Kiddo decided to get out of her shady business. Maybe Eva went MIA for the same reason?

What if Raiden was her n' Jack's descendent? His name being "Jack" would certainly make more sense. Which would also mean Solidus possibly killed Eva when he found Jack (Raiden). And what if Raiden's blood saves Old Snake? Maybe a transfusion can alter the effects of Fox Die as they may be related? What if that had something to do with his quote in the E3 footage? (My turn to save you)

well, i have to admit that you come out with some way out theories. this topic has been debated many times and it has been stated over and over that BB is sterile. so he couldn't have children. seriously, people should stop trying to connect every single character.
