Trophies coming to MGS4? - Page 8

Reason enough to get MGS4 again. Good that there's going to be a full install, too. The install between chapters got tedious after the first playthrough.

Loving the Snake Eater trophy. I don't care if I have to get it again. My body is ready.

So will we have to start a new save from scratch to get these all?.

I loved this so much back then that I did 6-7 big boss runs. I got all songs/emblems/ weapons and everything. I spent many hours doing all this once. I really don't wanna do it all from scratch again. I probably would because I'm such a fan of this game, but I don't want to if I don't have to

I'd do it all over again, with pleasure. Not to mention that I have a save just before getting all emblems.

I hope that is just half the list. I remember seeing them say there were going to be 42 trophies. Hopefully there are 22 story-related/ "hidden" trophies.

TBH it seems a little late to be revisiting MGS4 like this. I haven't played MGS4 in nearly two years, trophies aren't a huge incentive to bring me back in.

Not to mention that I got so buggered in my BBE run that I couldn't muster the interest to revisit it.

The update is up and running in Japan now, and it appears it will be 9GB in size!! Not suprising considering installs between chapters were needed in the first place, but still a slap in the face for those who own the old PS3 console (40, 60, 80GB sizes).

I see what you're saying, but you shouldn't need trophies as an excuse to play a game again. You should revisit a game of this calibur again and again anway nobody is forcing you to get BBE. The trophies are just there to provide a nice new challange for those who didn't go for hardest difficulties the first time round. Lets put it this way- in a couple of years time, or whenever MGS4 suddenly takes your fancey again, you'll have something to look forward to!

EDIT: Since when was it EVER a little late to revisit a Metal Gear Solid game???
