I wonder why Konami would change that in MGS4?
It's a weird thought that Liquid will have Ocelot's voice now.
You'd think that, even if they wanted to only use Ocelot's voice, they'd still give Liquid the British accent... So we can tell that it's Liquid speaking.

That doesn't mean he'd stop talking with a British accent though.
He might have a different voice-box, but his pronounciation of words would remain the same.

I get what you mean. The only explanation i can give is that Ocelot is like a puppet now, just a body but Liquid has taken over his movements and mind.

Sure, it didn't make sense that Liquid's (Cam Clarke's) voice is coming out of Ocelot's body.

But it makes even less sense that Liquid has lost his British accent now that he has completely taken over Ocelot's body. He might be talking through Ocelot now, but his accent shouldn't have changed.
Maybe the localization team should tell Patric Zimmerman (Ocelot's voice-actor) to do a British accent. I'd get a laugh out of that. XD

If we're going to judge Liquid's voice on nothing more than whether it makes sense or not, then we should just call the entire thing stupid. The ability for somebody to be able to take over another person's body doesn't make sense. Looking at Vamp, Mantis, the B&B Unit... I don't think that "making sense" is top on Kojima's to-do list.

Does anyone know the reasoning behind Cam Clarke not being in this game? The person who does the Japanese voice of Liquid is doing the game(although this could only be because the original Japanese voice of Ocelot is dead), so I figured the original English voice of Liquid would be back.

Yeah, I've read that before, but I'd really like to know the reasoning for that. I mean Cam Clarke was in MGS2, and it's kinda weird he won't be used for MGS4.

I agree with Funaki, however, I doubt we'll be seeing a lot of ocelot in this game, I think we'll be mostly seeing liquid since this is all his plan after all..

As reaver11 pointed out, The Twin Snakes has had the worst voice acting out of all the MGS games..

They removed Mei Ling's accent and the voice acting just feels robotic with no emotions put into it, unlike the one in the classic version of the game..
