Who would you prefer to see more in MGS4? Revlover Ocelot or Liquid Snake? Now I read before that Liquid will play a major role in this game meaning he'll probably be in control of Ocelot most of the time.

But if this was up to you. Who would you prefer to see more?

For me, its a toughie, but Liquid is and has been my favorite antagonist in any videogame history. So I say Liquid. But I also love Ocelot a lot and I would defintely like to see him in a lot of the cutscenes preforming some amazing revolver tricks like in MGS3 and possibly fight him as well if possible. He's just a classic villain and I would love to have at least one more duel with him.

I would be pretty disappointed if Ocelot played a minor role in this game.

And if you like, you can do percentages if you're unsure or kinda want both of them in. Like this:

Liquid- 65%
Ocelot- 35%

Well, I thought all of Ocelot was being controlled by Liquid. But I suppose the percentage would be something like 80% Liquid and 20% Ocelot. I like both characters but Liquid takes the cake. I'm also guessing it's similar to that because everyone in the game refers to him as Liquid. Not once have I heard him be refered to as Ocelot. Hell, the whole game seems to be revolved around killing "Liquid".

C'mon- Liquid's a ridiculous character ! Ocelot's got a better backstory, more style, more nicknames, more bravado, etc.

Unfortunately, it's already been established that Liquid's arm has magically taken control of Ocelot's mind & body. That's not to say that Ocelot won't re-assert control of his body, but we'll see.

Liquid's an awesome villian. Ocelot is pretty badass too but Liquid is *bleep*en awesome. Liquid would have a "better backstory, more style, more nicknames" if he were in just more than one MGS game.

Well my preference would be to have more Liquid in the game because I always enjoyed the bitter rivalry between these siblings. Hell it woulda been even cooler if Solidus survived (not saying he did) and the three brothers were fighting each other. But still, Liquid and Solid are still one of my favorite protagonist/antagonist combinations. Right up there with Dante and Vergil.

But I still want to see some of Ocelot in this game. It'd be pretty dumb if we didn't. I mean, we're using his body and his voice, but where's his character? Wonder if Ocelot is just allowing Liquid to do this and will somehow retake his body at the end or something.

I wish Cam Clarke would reprise the voice of Liquid Snake. He'd be so much cooler if Liquid's voice was present when it was actually Liquid talking.

But it always seemed awkward whenever he talked. It was weird seeing and old dude talking as a younger British guy. It just didn't work for me, and having a whole game of that would be kinda ridiculous. Cam has a much more energetic voice than Patrick, and Ocelot, as a figure, isn't really that energetic.

Touche. But I thought it was pretty cool and really showed the personality divide between Liquid Snake and Ocelot. What I really wonder is if all the PMC's in MGS4 are being controlled fully by Liquid, or Ocelot had something to do with it. In MGS2, Ocelot hated having Liquid in his mind. Liquid must be almost in full control of Ocelot this time around if he's created a large network of PMC's.

I have to be honest. Metal Gear Solid is probably in my top 3 favorites game franchises ever, but I never agreed with this silly magic arm thing. I know Metal Gear has a huge fantasy role in it, but it always seemed like this was just another way to keep a character alive and drag it on. I think the arm controlling Ocelot is actually ridiculous, its more than just silly.

As far as the characters go, I always thought Ocelot was way more fitting as the bad guy than Liquid. Liquid just felt so one dimensional and fit the cliche "I'll get you if its the last thing I do!" kind of villain. Even his voice is corny. Ocelot, on the other hand, is a devious, two faced, evil, back stabbing, yet intelligent son of a bitch. His persona, his raspy voice, his battle skills, everything about him fits the role better than Liquid if you ask me. It looked even worse when Ocelot spoke and that high pitch bitchy Liquid voice came out in MGS2. But oh well, what can you do. I still love the game.

I would rather have more Liquid than Ocelot. Cam Clarke's voice acting was always great, as he always sounded like the "bad guy". But it would be better with Ocelot's voice.

Cam Clarke was a great voice actor. He protrayed a evil conniving British man perfectly. Although I do have to agree, his voice shouldn't match with Ocelots. I just like the difference because it clarifies who is who.

Somehow this thread turned into a discussion about Cam Clarke. No one disputes he's a great voice actor- I loved him as Kaneda in the original Akira and from Robotech (back in the day). But the Liquid Snake character has run his course. It makes more sense for Patric Zimmerman to do the voice of Liquid Ocelot; after all, he was the voice of the original Revolver Ocelot and it was his entire body, while Liquid's presence is only by virtue of his magic forearm.

Same here. I always preferred ocelot. Like iLLmatic said, liquid just seems too one dimensional.

I kinda like the idea of Liquid and Ocelot being one entitity. It's great for the final chapter of Metal Gear is Snake kills both his enemies with one stone.
