The Goggles only work at a certain range. So if you're too far away, it won't detect the zohma even though you yourself can see it.

Also, just looking at them won't destroy them. You need to find the "Photon Spots," stand on those, and use the Photon Reflector on the zohma.

Okay, what do the "photon spots" look like? Are they those big black spots? Cause I've tried standing on them, and they just hurt me.

The photon spots are glowing circles, reddish in color. I can't recall if they're only visible with the goggles or if they're in plain sight. But you need to stand in one in order for the Photon Reflector to work so you can destroy the Zohma.

yeah, you need the goggles to see the spots, but once the goggles identify them, they become visible without goggles on
