Exactly. quote AMMARGEDDON The game makers explained it, you know that hot producer chick she explain why Altair's missing his ring finger its quite simple you guys already got half of it right, the reason is when one of the assassins reaches the rank of "Master Assassin" his ring finger is cut of to show his status to the rest the assassins so they know his rank, and also when he reaches this rank he is given the hidden blade which to be used the user needs to be missing the ring finger so as not to stab himself in the hand. But the major reason for the missing finger is to show that assassin in question is a "Master Assassin" im sure they could have worked away around for the use of the hidden blade. I've really never thought of it like that. Thanks for the input, and honestly, I think that answers it pretty well. Right. I have noticed when you help the other assassins, they never have as much equipment as you do. And, no one dresses like him. AND, At the end, when Al Mualum says: "..you were my best student..." . ANNDDDD, When you have to help the other assassins, they always get easier jobs than you do.

	its a 3 part game which next part is set in 1476. more questions to be asked and the new guy has all of his digits. altaiir just didn't want to be mixed up with spiderman. maybe desmond has a long family line of assassins and his in the next part. then we can continue the story line or start a new.

	yeah if you remember in ac2 leonardo tells ezio he has to cut off one of his fingers to wear his blade but he was only kidding because that was an older* model of the hidden blade

	Ezio has all of his fingers in ACB as I have watched the install background(plus he has 2 hidden blades)... in that game each of the assassins have hidden blades(at least the recruits do). In the last levelup of the assassin recruits, when they become assassins, they have their ring finger marked with heated metal... I don't think they cut it off... revelations is close ^^

	Well seeing how it was a way for the blade to not slice the pad of his finger on the way out everytime he drew it, it's also aa dedication to his creed. Now when Ezio's time came along, Leonardo Da Vinci came up with a way to manipulate the blade without Ezio having to lose a finger.... I believe there;s a scene in the video game about that. But all thi doesn't go to say that it was a better wway, simply less...barbaric i suppose? Anyone..? Bueller....?

Actually, Altaïr came up with a way for it, Leonardo only worked on it via the designing on the Codex pages. Everything Leonardo made for Ezio in Ac2, were designed from Altaïr's codex pages. -------------------

	So that their hidden blade can come out, even when the have their hand is ballled into a fist. it kind of makes sense in an abstract way. also its pretty badass
