Source It appears that, with the Wii, friend codes are not required at all. Now, Madden 08 was confirmed to not use the system code, but this means that friend codes entirely are completely unnecessary. No more code at all, in fact. I would like one Gamertag instead, like on Live, but this is similar to a PC set up, which is tolerable. I just hope they let third parties do things like add voice chat, or at least chat, with random people.

	The Wii systems code is still need for the Wii to Wii communication. I said this a long time ago Gogetenks, when they first started talking about Madden Online. Good news then, and still good news now. I figure this may be a special case for EA, since they will be using their own game servers. I assume any game using the Nintendo Wifi connection will still require the friend codes. ------------------- General Wii U \| General 3DS

	^ pretty much any game that uses wiis servers use friend codes, and yes, EA has its own servers, but what about companies like square enix who dont have their own servers and want to make their game mmo? ------------------- Sayings of MetroidSeeker: Abortion: Murder without a trial.
