diddy kong racing and donkey kong

How come there is not a diddy kong racing for nintendo wii or why don't they make donkey kong racing for nintendo wii I mean if diddy kong racing DS is as good as the Nintendo 64 version or better then how come there isn't any for Nintendo wii.

I have the DS version and its very good but the question is why don't they make donkey kong racing for nintendo wii i know donkey kong racing was for gamecube but why don't they make it for nintendo wii.

1) It's Diddy Kong Racing
2) There was no Diddy Kong Racing for the Gamecube, only Mario Kart: Double Dash.

As for a game on the Wii, maybe they are making one but it hasn't been announced yet. Why even make one for they Wii if the same exact game for the Ds was just released? That would hinder the Wii game's sales because the people who already bought the Ds version won't buy the same exact game with different controls.

Rare makes all of the Diddy Kong Racing games. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, they own the rights to Diddy Kong(as well as a majority of Donkey Kong characters). Even if Nintendo owns Donkey Kong and the franchise, Rare created Diddy Kong and all those characters seen in the Rare games.

Anyways, no, I doubt it. The last one (on a console) was on the N64, before the XBox. Rare is free to develop on the DS because Microsoft doesn't have a portable system and it doesn't interfere with Microsoft and their profits. The Wii, on the other hand, is direct competition to the XBox 360 and that would hurt Microsoft. Nintendo owns the franchise, but if Rare actually do own Diddy Kong, then neither can make the game. Mario Kart is supposedly in the works, if you want a racing game of that sort. You can just get another racer, like Exite Truck...

Edit: Reading what Gogetenks just said, it's not that they won't do it (not like they will), but they can't do it. It would only be possible if another developer developed they game.

but can't nintendo make a new diddy kong racing or donkey kong racing without rare.

Wouldn't it be better if they combined diddy kong racing and mario kart what I mean is
here is the list

Mario kart double dash
only vehicle kart
has lots of good character
has battle mode
the weapons are more random
don't have mini games

Diddy kong racing DS
theres plane,hover and kart
has lots of good character
has battle mode
the weapons are predicable
has mini games

what I mean is why don't they put the good parts of both mario kart double dash and diddy kong racing DS like have more than one vehicle and have the characters of both games and new ones and have mini games with battle mode and with adventure mode and have more new weapon.

Is my idea good or bad?

Then how come there isn't any new donkey kong adventure game like donkey kong 64.

I know rare helped make the stage but nintendo created the characters I think.
