Plasma Vs LCD Vs CRT

I currently have a fairly good Sony CRT television and am thinking of upgrading to a larger plasma or LCD. Which one will the wii look best on? What cables are the best to get for for the types of TV's for the optimal wii experience?

Cathode Ray Tube. The technology we have been using for most of the last century.

And you don't have to charge Plasma every year. Plasma's main problems are that it burns in easily if left running the same picture for long periods of time. And after a few years it tends to lose brightness.

I would pick LCD or DLP. LCD is great in a livingroom with lots of windows. It is the brightest of the three and the most resistent to glare. CRT will never get you a HD image SD only. And unfortunately I don't know enough about DLP to really comment on it.

One writer for Neoseeker's articles always picks CRTs over everything, but from what I've heard and seen I just don't see why.

Ah, I was typing while you posted that I guess, my bad.

So, about how long is the wait in general. Is it a constant lag or only when there is high FPS or something.

CRT's are capable of a MUCH higher contrast ratio.

On the other hand though, they cause more radiation, and cause MUCH more damage to your eyes.

In the long run, CRT's do MUCH more damage. You usually won't notice any short term effects.

Plasma technology is at least 20 years older than LCD. FACT. Plasma screens actually are better than LCD in research. What people have not yet realised is Home plasma screens have not been about long enough to be good enough. Give it a few years and it will pick up. But for now LCDs are advisable when getting an HD console.

You sure about that? Because I have a Samsung (rather large TV, not the Slim Fit kind) that's HD-ready . I got it on sale so I never really paid much attention what technology it uses, but I'm pretty sure it's a CRT...
