Wii Need Help (Playing Gamecube Games on Wii)

Sorry, bad pun.

When I try to play my gamecube games on the Wii, they load but I can't control the characters or even just press start. Is there a slot somewhere on the Wii where you plug in your Gamecube controller, or do you play it with the Wiimote? If so, what do I have to do to be able to play it?

On the top part of the Wiii thers a slot for up to 4 gamecube controllers. You should read the manual (nobody ever reads it though).

Yeah, the Gamecube games need the Gamecube controllers. Luckily, I have an image for you, to guide you in your hunt for the slot.

Im so getting a black Wii when it comes out. Screw my white one I just paid 280 for. hehe.
Maybe I'll get a skin or something if that's possible. Someone find me a skin.
It took me forever to find the contorller ports. That 'flap' or whatever actually comes off pretty easily, so it's not hanging out like that and easily breakable.
I played some Mario Kart and SSBM on the Wii. It worked nice, though my controller cords are pretty short and someone pulled the Wii over on its side.
