I'm half shocked, and half not. There is always a chance of something like this, especially with something like the ps3. But lets all be honest, what would you rather have: 400k in US and 100K in Japan with none in Europe, or 2 million consoles at launch that crash or screw up like the 360 did.. at least they took the bullet instead of releasing a faulty product to market.

Which raises my other question. Since there will be 400k in US and 100k in Japan, does that mean there will only be 500k consoles instead of 2 milion?

Well Nintendo have generally done better in their home country than Sony, so it makes more sense for Sony to focus the majority of their attention on the region they feel is going to generate the most sales.

Huh? The PS2 outsold the Gamecube in all regions...

And, what, exactly did they do to kill themselves in Japan? Don't forget that the two best series in Japan are Gran Turismo and Final Fantasy, both Playstation exclusive.

The reason it's being delayed is because the Blu-ray diode, which is superior to the 360 or Wii's, I might add, is VERY hard to manufacture successfully, and they didnt find out exactly HOW hard it was to make until mass production started.

Every company is that way. Do you think people open companies to make others happy, or to make money?

Anyone that thinks Nintendo generally likes their customers should be shot for being an idiot.
