re: General Discussion [Viva la revolution!!! Er... I mean Wii.]

Because if Nintendo wants it to be Teen, then they can add stuff in the game much more freely, like creepier enemies, blood, some swearing(damn, ass, bastard, etc) from people you talk to, stealing(well, you did steal from that guy in the demo video), and so on. If they try to restrict it to an E or E10 rating, then most of that won't be in.

Link could really use some talking. I mean, we don't have to have voice acting. Text talk. I'd like to hear his opinion on subjects.

A lot of "medievil" games like this tend to have swearing.

Stealing? Which video was it?

re: General Discussion [Viva la revolution!!! Er... I mean Wii.]

I don't know exactly how many demos there were, but it was the demo video(not an E3 demo, but a demo disk) where he gets his sword. This guy says Link has to walk up behind him and steal his sword if he wants it. You have to hide behind rocks and bushes, walk slowly behind him and then grab it quickly. He then congradulates Link. This was a LONG time ago, though. I think it was around a year ago...

Nah, I think Link should stay silent. The only text talk he should do is when you select an option. People, on the other hand, could use some voice acting(not people on the street, but people who are in the storyline). And yeah, mideval games do tend to have swearing in this, and it's been rated T for ages now, so I think they should swear at least a little. It makes it feel like your talking to rugged townsfolk back in the middle ages, really.

I'll have to search. It sounds really cool.

Giving Zelda a Teen Rating would probably bring back some of the fans that abandoned Zelda when they saw the look of the Wind Waker.

re: General Discussion [Viva la revolution!!! Er... I mean Wii.]

More about Twilight Princess:

quote
From the very first trailer back in 2004, to the introduction of the Twilight Realm at E3 2005, it has been quite clear that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will not be the joyful adventure we have seen more often in the Zelda series. Twilight Princess is serious business, and with every bit of extra information, it becomes more clear that we are up for an epic experience of a lifetime.

"You've made games that reach out to every age groups. Have you ever thought about the possibility to make a game that's only for adults?"

"I have to admit that I enjoy making games with a more adult setting, I have for example produced the Metroid-series (not created, mind you). In these days however, we have ONE priority, and that's to make games that has a certain amount of interest for everyone, everywhere. But right now I'm quite busy working on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which is a game with a more adult setting you might say."
