That red and black Wii Mini that was initially released in Canada some time back must have found the success Nintendo was looking for. That's because Nintendo will officially be bringing the ridiculous thing to the United States out in mid-November. At $99.99 it's a reasonable package, but to sweeten the deal just for the US Nintendo will be bundling in Mario Kart Wii.
Everyone loves quotes from Nintendo's Sales and Marketing VP Scott Moffitt, right? Me neither! Too bad:
"Wii Mini offers the same fun experience as Wii, which has been enjoyed by millions of people around the world. And it comes packaged with Mario Kart Wii, a multiplayer Mario racing game that is one of the best-selling Wii games. At such a great price, it is an extraordinary value for shoppers this holiday season."
Those dang marketing geniuses/con-artists are at it again over at Nintendo. Not only do they put together this reportedly rather flimsy platform for the cheap, but they bundle it with a multiplayer game when only one controller is bundled in! Have fun spending another $60+ on a second controller, parents! They've got you right where they want you, Nintendo does.
I joke, I joke. The Wii actually has an awesome library of games, from Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel to The Legen of Zelda: Twilight Princess and the other few Nintendo games made for the platform. You know, the single player games that coincidentally were not bundled with the Wii Mini like Mario Kart Wii is. Ack, I can't stop myself.
