Previously exclusive to Canada, the Wii Mini drops the console's online capabilities in favor or a tiny, relatively inexpensive alternative to the 2013's wave of next-gen consoles. In addition, Nintendo is adding four new games to its affordable Nintendo Select lineup: Super Paper Mario, Mario Party 8, Mario Power Tennis and Wii Sports Resort. Did I mention the Wii Mini was red? It also has a black matte top and loads discs from the top. Oh, and it will come with a red Wiimote Plus and nunchuck. Umm, it doesn't have online capabilities. I said that already? Ah, well. I believe it's only $99 in Canada, so hopefully that translates to a favorable price in the UK. PS, it still isn't announce for North America, but it probably still sells better here than the Wii U. Terrible joke, I know. 	I recall a Digital Foundry article where they took one apart and they were quite disappointed with it. It even lacks 480p support.

It's compatible with all the games and accessories, loads from the top, has a handle in the back, and even has 4 controller ports and 2 memory card slots! Considering what how much a regular Wii with online, GameCube, and progressive scan support can be had for these days the Wii Mini is a bit of a joke. 480i via composite cables on a HDTV is not pretty.
