The Nintendo 3DS XL has sold 193,000 units within Japan in the first two days of the handheld's launch.
Nintendo's latest device launched only a few days ago on July 28, and according to official retail estimates, the device has sold 193,000 units. Its commercial performance in the United Kingdom, however, wasn't as bright: just less than 10,000 3DS XL units were sold on Saturday.
Comparatively, around 100,000 DSi XL units were sold during the first two days of its release in 2009. The DSi, meanwhile, sold around 170,000 units during its opening weekend in 2008.
Nintendo recently announced that the company has sold 19 million 3DS systems worldwide.
