Wii has trouble playing Gamecube games

I understand where freezing might happen under certain conditions. Weird, though, that they work on your brother's GC.

I would definitely purchase a secondhand Wii Lens Cleaner to try and fix your problem. Considering the Wii uses a Laser to play discs, a small piece of grit might be on the Wii's Lens Reader and only gets in the way at a certain point when playing (i.e Madden= Halftime)

Definitely try the method I suggested. Secondhand because the Lens Cleaners aren't on shelves anymore.

Originally, the Wii was not designed for GameCube Games. The promotion team decided that having it use GameCube games would make it eaiser for Nintendo to not sell GameCube games. I suggest cleaning the GameCube game and make sure there is not a crack in the disc. You will not be able to play a game with a crack in it. Because of the Wii not being designed for GameCube compatibility until later in the production stages.

Toast, I encounter the same problems. I'd imagine the Wii just doesn't read the size/structure of the song in general. The same discs that won't work on my Wii do fine on a much older GameCube.
