	Log in to remove this sponsored message I just bought myself a Wii off eBay for Christmas, and I tried it out to see if it worked... It appears to be working fine, but the colours are so dull they're almost non-existent; I've never set up a Wii before, but I'm sure I've got all the plugs in the right place...it didn't exactly come with an instruction booklet... What I'm asking is, is there a simple explanation, and remedy, for this problem, or have I just wasted $160 on a dud machine? ------------------- Artist: Ray_Masamune

	It's hard to say without seeing just how dull the colors look, but are your TV display settings set up correctly? You could try tweaking those. You can also pick up the Wii component cable to use for your audio/video instead of the basic A/V cable it came with, which should help the display a little. -------------------

	THe Wii difference with normal cables and component cables in the colour isn't much though, they're more improved in clarity, so I don't think that's the problem. 	No, I mean the colours are essentially brown and white versions of most colours... Surely that can't be right; I've seen previews of Wii games, and they seem pretty bright... ------------------- Artist: Ray_Masamune

	I would try hooking it up to another TV, maybe a friend's if you only have one, just to make sure it isn't a problem with the TV display settings. I really hope you didn't get suckered on eBay. -------------------

	Well, there comes another problem... While I have bought the Wii for myself, it is still a surprise for someone else; and that someone else rarely leaves the house long enough to get me a window of opportunity to set it up and fiddle around with things... 	Take it to the store and ask them to set it up for you... (in store not at home of course) If it works at the store explain the problem and they'll probably explain something about the cords in your tv

	What store? I hope you're not talking about the person it came from; he lives in another state of Australia... 	Well, this is rather odd... I tried it again this evening, when I finally got another opportunity to do so, and for some unknown reason... ...it's fine... It's like there never was a problem!
