Wii GD XXI: Other GD

It was a special request, I'll have you know.

And the title is in reference to Metroid: Other M. Heathen.

Graw! Freaking Octopus boss from Muramasa is so annoying!

Anyone have any strategies to beat it? I've completed all the white challenge areas, am level 99, forged all blades, and seen all 3 endings for both characters, so any combination of equipment will work. I just can't seem to kill all of his legs before time runs out.

I'd post this in the Muramasa forum, but since there hasn't been activity there since February, I was worried I wouldn't get a response before this weekend (which is when I intend to complete this game fully).

Well, that makes me feel a little better at least. So far the best method I've found is to use the long blades to do an air combo on it near the base, then 3 back and forth running slashes to deal a little extra damage to it on your way back up out of the water. I've killed around 6 legs this way, but I just can't get past that time limit.

Now it's making sense as to why no FAQs have any info on this guy. I have to wonder what item you get from it, though. It's either got to be something truly overpowered or utterly useless.

I would keep reading, because a bunch of things did get changed.

Did you like the movie though? Because if you did and it's really faithful to the comics, I would think that would be a good incentive to continue reading. Unless I'm mistaken the movie doesn't cover all 6 books, right?

Huh. I didn't know that. I though it only covered a couple of the comics.

It's probably easier to find scans of manga because comics are generally easier to get a hold of and cheaper.
