Read the first SP comic. I don't think I'll read anymore. Not that they're bad, it's just that the movie was REALLY faithful, like most of the dialogue is the same. So I don't think I'll continue the series.

Did you like the movie though? Because if you did and it's really faithful to the comics, I would think that would be a good incentive to continue reading. Unless I'm mistaken the movie doesn't cover all 6 books, right? it does. They're so similar that I won't buy the comics for sure, and it's a lot harder to find scans of comics than manga.

I'm also hoping you weren't comparing the two with that remark. Don't worry I wasn't. What I was saying is that my cash is going towards Halo, not both. Anyway, my love for Halo is wierd. I find the campaigns okay at best, Firefight to be bad in comparison to Nazi Zombies, and Multiplayer just isn't my thing (I have poor accuracy). However Custom Games + Forge + Friends = Late night Halo parties every week baby. Oh, and IGN gave Other M an 8.5. Gonna read it now.

Jesus, these are some low scores for a huge Nintendo title. Here's a summary: IGN: 8.5 Gamespot: 8.5 Joystiq: 4.5/5 GamesRadar: 7 Game Informer: 6.25 (OUCH!) G4: 2/5 (DOUBLE OUCH!) I mean, I don't really trust pro review scores after GTAIV and MW2 recieved such inflated and huge scores despite being hated by the community, but still those are some low scores. It's wierd because the only problem I see in these reviews is some difficulty issues, and the first-third person swapping. Personally, I think it's just a ploy to put out a low score for such a huge game to get people to visit the site. What has the world come to? People selling out like that. This is why I only listen to the players, the fans, the people who go "MW2 SUX DONKEY BALLZ!" and praise Psychonauts and the like. Edit: Aug 27, 10

The difficulty meant it was flutcuating: some parts too hard, others too easy. And another flaw I've picked up is the game can't decide what it wants to be, it tries to juggle "ass kicking" "old school" and "story" too much and none of the three are exceptional.

Well I never liked Metroid to begin with, even the hugely praised ones like Super Metroid and Metroid Prime, so those reviews pretty much tell me I'm not gonna buy the game unless I can find it for like $30 or something later on.

only thing I find disappointing if anything right now is the lack of background music in some places Music is a big killer for me. I find it so boring in JRPGs when you have the same battle music for 60 hours or when I play Halo online and there is a sound every 5 minutes. Thankfully a lot of this was remedied when I purchased several Ink Spot soundtracks (best group ever imo) and the Scott Pilgrim Movie soundtrack and ripped them to my 360. Problem is the Wii can't do that

I know it's like an RPG for the GBA and apparently it's like a cult classic, but what makes it different? I'm honestly sick of most JRPGs, they just have become so predictable after playing so many (group of 14-23 year olds save world of evil empire or single evil experiment, use power of nature vs. technology never the other way around, little kid in your party most likely immortal, one person was evil, yadayadayada). that's why I like things like Paper Mario. The dialogue was so witty and fun and the plot twists were actually unpredictable, plus the gameplay was different thanks to action commands and partners and the like.

Today I DLed the new free Cave Story Soundtrack. I never played Cave Story before but this soundtrack is kick-ass. I bruned it to some CDs and ripped that to my Xbox and have been playing it. It's really sweet

I think I'm gonna love Epic Mickey a lot more than most people because during E3 one thing Warren said was that the game world was based off the Disney World theme parks. And I am a huge Disney fan and go there anually, so it will be extra fun for me to go "oh hey that's the lampost at......." And yes, I have gone there enough to remember the parks better than my own town.

This is also a kick-ass game that is easily worth the price of the download. Good old-school title with plenty of action, platforming, exploration, and storyline. You can get it either on your computer or your Wii. Plus the Wii version comes with the option to use the original soundtrack or a new one, and you can play as an alternate character. I've had Cave Story on my PC for a while and haven't actually started it. I think I'll start playign it soon.

Don't get a PSP. It only has a few games. As for 360 vs PS3, it's easily PS3. In terms of content, the 360 is only superior in a much slicker and easier online system (though you do have to pay $60 a year for it) and is a lot better if you have friends or such who own a 360 you play with regularly. If you don't have friends who own a 360 or just don't care about online in general, get a PS3. Not only does it have a much better and varied exclusive line-up, but it's online is also slowly coming in on tieing with the 360. So quick recap:
360
+better online
+slicker interface
+far superior Shooter games
-paid online
PS3
+more variety in exclusives
+generally better exclusives
+free online
-more sluggish interface
So I'd say PS3 for you. Now 3DS or PS3: that's the real question, and nobody can answer that until the system comes out.

I hate the PSP. It just feels wierd in my hands I can count the number of games I like on it on my hands. As for the RROD, it's only a problem if you get an older model, which isn't a problem for msot of us here but judging from what you've said Venezuela isn't the best gaming country so you'll probably end up getting an old model. So yeah, get the PS3. It's the most bang for the buck imo. quote Duncan Idaho
PS3 for me is a bit to expensive and i said its game arent all that cheap and i must wonder about patches and DLC for games like assasins creed 2 as im not sure how that works, main doubts come around that. So you don't have internet? Well anyway patches aren't a huge deal for non-online games, so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

im not sure about how the DLC works, if you have to pay for that content or its free, Both. DLC is extra content that the publisher releases seperate from the main game, usually post release that is downloaded from the internet. but i have heard even more recent ones still keep the RROD so im not exactly buyin that rite now They still can but it's a small chance. The older models have up to a 33% fail rate, while the newer ones are less than 5% I believe. One of the key causes of RROD is overheating, so if you buy a seperate fan or don't play for 5+ hours straight you'll be fine.

^good list, but those reinforce my main problem. You see the PSP is trying to be a portable console rather than a portable gaming system. What I mean is it packs TV sized experiences into a handheld. For me, I play a handheld system for games that work good on handhelds, not watered-down console games. So taking those off your list, along with the fact I hate Strategy RPGs, puzzle games, and don't include remakes your list becomes rather short.
For me, the list is the following
Patapon 1 & 2
Crisis Core
Dissidia
Half Minute Hero
Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles
Monster Hunter (this was before Tri came out so I could only get MH game sthis way)
MGS: Portable Ops
LocoRoco 1 & 2

Either that or they just don't interest me. I guess the PSP is good for some people, but it has very few games that appeal to me.

I really hope the 3DS is released late next year. Cause I' getting it near launch for sure, but $300 is going to hurt me bad if I can't get it for Christmas and/or early gift.

In fact, I seem to recall Nintendo saying it would be out within Q1 2011 in NA, and the recent price drop of the DSi line certainly points to a $200 price point. The 3DS is a very powerful machine using high-tech technology. $200 would be too generous. It has to be $250 or $300 for them to break even, or make the loss bareable. I mean it's possible to be $200, but I doubt it. Also, five-hundred ninty-nine US dollars.

How the hell do you even know this It's just thinking. The DSi was $180. The 3DS is a far more powerful machine graphically, and add in the 3D function it has to be a solid $50 more at best. I'm thinking it'll be $250 becaues they don't want to scare people away, but I still greatly doubt a $200 price tag. Maybe $220. But not $200 for sure.

1) Halo: Reach is consuming my life. it's real good.
2) Anyone hear play the PC JRPG Recettear? It seems fun and unique and am looking for recomendations.
3) It's ironic, Nintendo and MS/Sony are switching places. It seems now that the HD consoles are focusing more on "casual" games while Nintendo is focusing on the core audience.
4) Has there been any word of an F-zero on Wii yet?
5) Pikmin 3 has been confirmed by Miyamoto. The reason we don't have trailers and stuff yet is because Nintendo likes to only release thoes less than 6 months before release and they also like to space their games out. My guess is that we'll be getting Pikin early Q2 next year.

I'm proud of myself. Aside from the starts, legendaries, and their evolutions I've avoided all Black and White spoilers, which is huge for me considering how abnormally HUGE of a Pokemon fan I am. I cant wait for them to hit the US now, the feeling of discovery from the first games will be all over again

I'm really interested in it because it seems so unique. Also, battle of the fan-loved characters: Geno or Dimentio? I'm more of a Dimentio man myself, but both are awesome. Dimentio though ranks in my top favorite characters ever and best villans ever lists

I hate them both. Geno's just boring and Dimento's just a uninteresting cliched "Second-in command is the real villain". I can see why Geno was boring, I just thinkhe was one of those guys you think is awesoem but dont know wh. As for Dimentio, though while the plot twist wasn't original, what makes him loved is his character. He's sane yet insane at the same time. His lines are sweet, his music pwns, and he's just cool. Plus it's a Mario game, who was expecting that twist? Maybe in Final Fantasy or Mass Effect but in Mario? Coolness.
