	Sony was hit just as hard by the Yen and is doing worse than Nintendo; with the company's other divisions keeping the company around the break-even range. Microsoft isn't as affected by the Yen's recent strength. All three have been affected by the economy, but Nintendo's the only one to consistently keep a profit (with regards to gaming). Microsoft has finally gotten to that point, while Sony is trying to get there, and is almost there, despite squandering much of what the PlayStation 1 and 2 earned in that division. A Japanese company that does major business in the US has every right to be concerned about currency rates. To think that this only affects Nintendo and that they're the only ones in deep trouble due to that despite there existing companies in much worse shape is absurd. ------------------- Play-Asia!

Sony and Microsoft have a lot of products shipped every year where as Nintendo usually gets by with consoles and toys so I think they do have reason to be concerned. And the reporter said that Sony and Microsoft are doing better than they have before while Nintendo remains as it is with media concern as to whether they can keep their profits up without the confirmed no future plans for console upgrades yet besides the 3DS revealation. ------------------- GOLDENEYE Wii The forum is up so follow my link!

	I agree, this HAS been going on since before my grandfathers time xD. Currency changes all the time so I don't see it as much of a problem for nintendo.

	So the fact that the Euro has turned Greece into an uncivilised country shouldn't give Nintendo that concern about currency change in this era? There is after all not a lot to fall back on. I mean 100 years ago it was world war that pushed countries back a bit but now it's a recession that has caused a chain reaction over the last 3 years. Though we bounce back big companies can disappear along the way. So don't think they are invincible! They could be the next Sega one day!
