4.2 frustration

I so annoyed with the 4.2 fireware making Wiis crash. I really want to update to 4.2, that way I can access the Shop Channel and get some more VC/Wiiware. But I'm to chicken to take the risk, is anyone else in my position?

I think Nintendo updated it so it doesn't brick Wiis anymore, but I'm not too sure. A Google search only turns up "Update 4.2" hysteria.

Yeah, I looked into it (quickly) before posting, but I couldn't seem to find anything of 4.2 v2 lol

yeah that's my plan, I'm going to wait for 4.3. Sit back and hopefully - I'll hear about how it's no longer bricking Wiis like 4.2 is now.

I've just been wondering though, would a NAND Backup with bootmii/boot2 save a 4.2 update brick? Just a thought I haven't looked into it yet..

Oh really? My problem is that I need to re-setup my "Connection Settings" so right after the testing of the connection it will try to update to 4.2

4.2 didn't brick every Wii that updated to it.

Just a bunch of them.

My internet is always stable. Guess I already updated, I'll check.
