So my parents just got me a Wii, and I've played some friends before, but I wanted to know what games you guys think I should get? I'm a big sports games fan (love Madden and NBA Live for PS3) and I like first person shooter games.

So help me out a little bit before I go and blow a ton of money on crappy games.

i dont play sports games so cant help you there, but some great games are:

Super Mario Galaxy
Mario kart Wii
Super Paper Mario
Super smash bros Brawl

(all contain mario lol )

zelda twilight princess is supposed to be good, and the soon to be released New Super Mario Bros Wii is looking superb.

im not sure about 3rd party games, dont buy them normally.

Well if you're a fan of FPS games you'll love Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex for online, and Metroid Prime: Corruption is good for offline. Be sure to check out Okami as well, it isn't a sports game or an FPS but it's still a must-have for wii. I'm saying that and I haven't even played it yet

The Conduit is a decent shooter, you could also look at Resident Evil 4 Wii or Metal Of Honor Heroes 2.

For sports, I'm not a particularly big fan of realistic sports games. Wii Sports Resort is a lot of fun, and you can pick it up with 2 motion plus devices which is a great deal. I also have heard good things about the latest Tiger Golf and Grand Slam Tennis, which both use motion plus as well.

Some general games you should always own with a Wii are Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, Zelda Twilight Princess, Okami, No More Heroes, Little Kings Story, and Muramasa the Demon Blade.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex is a must-have if you like FPS.

"New Super Mario Bros Wii" comes out sunday. That'd be a good first.

Considering your genre taste, I wonder why you got a Wii when the 360 is overflowing with good FPS and "realistic" sports games.......
