Lol, I just cleared a game too. XD

Mega Man 2 finished. GOD that took a while. My thumb is sore from the GameCube's tiny D-pad. Final boss was easy though.

EDIT: Wow, no wonder it took so many tries to finish some parts. I didn't realize I was playing on the "difficult" difficulty. XD

I downloaded The Secret of Monkey Island from Steam last night, but I'm not sure what to put in my fifth spot right now. Maybe Miami Law, The Conduit, or Ghostbusters.

Mind if I add Mega Man X to the list? I'll be able to complete it by the 19th, probably. That'll give me one day to finish it off, since I'll be away tomorrow.

EDIT: Nevermind, just finished. The final boss is a pain. Now my thumb is even more sore than before.

Are you going for 100%, or just getting to the end?

I ask, because I really loved this game. One of the very few I made a point of finishing everything in the game quickly after release.

I just finished Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Not with all the Chaos Emeralds, though. I didn't even know how to get emeralds in this game until I got to Metropolis Zone; I thought it would be like the first game where you just collect 50 rings and jump through the big ring at the end. I really like the level design in this game (and all of the old-school Genesis Sonic games) cause, unlike the new 2D Sonic games, it is really expansive and diverse rather than just run from start to finish with minimal jumping on a linear path. The only thing that annoyed me about the game was the placement of a few of those scythe grasshopper enemies in Metropolis Zone because the game would put them on an edge that you would be thrown into by a spring, so there was no way to dodge them.

Alright, well now that I got my action platformer fix, it's time for me to go back to my massive RPG backlog with Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, which I'll try to beat by August 1. Now I started this game for the first time today and I thought I would be pretty good at it since I rock at the Tales games (and if you know your video game history, you would know that Star Ocean was birthed from a tri-Ace group of ex-Wolf Team members who made Tales of Phantasia, so that explains the similarities between the two series), but to my surprise, I was quite terrible and still am. I've logged about seven hours in and I still can't seem to get a hang of the battle system. I don't really know how to combo well because it seems really hard to make your attacks land their marks due the the game's lack of a true lock-on system. But my AI controlled allies never have problems and totally kick ass while I'm just fumbling around getting a one or two hit combo, so it never feels like I'm really doing much. Any Star Ocean vets have any tips for a helpless noob like me?

Okay, I'm starting to get the hang of it a bit more. I'm still having some trouble, though, since it seems not all skills can be linked together, and it seems you can't even chain any special skills after a major attack (), which is kinda annoying since the enemies always start with 100% fury.

A few more observations so far: this game loves to tease you with tons of unreachable treasure chests; I swear, some of them are IMPOSSIBLE to get. And is it just me, or is Cliff waaaay better than everyone else?

Elite Beat Agents has been completed. I might finish MMBN4 by Tuesday, but I have a whole day of free time, so we'll see...
