Monster Hunter G US Release Cancelled

Aww, that's too bad. I'll wait for Monster Hunter 3 for my first go at the Monster Hunter series, I guess.

It is a very long explanation.

Monster Hunter is an RPG without the leveling up.

instead you collect stronger armors and weapons as you progress through the game.

The main objective of the game is to hunt Monsters (mostly just wyverns, although there are huge Carapaceon as well and even Huge Apes).

Once you hunt these massive creatures (many that reach up to 5 times your characters size. some even larger) you carve their material (scales, shells, fangs). You use this material, along with material gathered from mining points and bug capturing points, to create armors and weapons.

You gain Hunter Ranks as you progress. The higher your rank, the stronger the monsters. The stronger the monster, the better the material. The better the material, the stronger weapons become.

You can upgrade your weapons and armor. The armor only gains defense but the weapons gain new looks, higher attack, or even elemental damage.

This game is very addicting, very time consuming, and has AMAZING replay value. If you think you can beat the game in 24 hours, think again. Many players have played this game for over 300 hours without having yet collected the best armors and weapons.

This game is best played online with friends (makes your hunts easier) but even without friends, this game isnt impossible (iv done it). Its an amazing game. Strongly recommended.
