Pokemon games I believe are quite varied. The core gameplay never changes, but the Pokemon, locations, etc do.

Pokemon has taken the "Baby steps" approach. By that I mean it slowly imporves game after game, but these changes don't draw the attention that "bound and leap" games (Mario, etc), "groundbreaking" games (SMB1, LoZ1, Halo1, etc), or "constantly shifting" games (Call of Duty series, etc) get. So while the differences betwwen Pkmn Red and Pkmn Diamond aren't as easy to spot as say SM64 and SMGalaxy, they're still there.

Second, we got Super Mairo SUnshine, WIndWaker, PM: TtYD, Metroid Prime, and so much more.

Nintendo is in the hole i think. Mario Galaxy was kinda easy Brawl was ok but it is like boring after a few times. Mario Kart- i don't care what you say- was a really fun game. Sure- i know every inch of all the tracks and how to master them all but i still play them.
