The other day i was standing out the front of a shopping center.
A rather large lady crossed the road who had three kids dangling off her arms.
"Stop being silly you three!" she threatened.
The three continued mis behaving until the mum said:
"That's it, not nintendo wii this weekend"
The three kids suddenly jumped off her and stood up straight.

So im womdering, have video games became blackmail tools?

Hmm... not necessarilly blackmail tools, but a way to control kids maybe?

Anything children enjoy can be used to make them behave.

I have never actually noticed this. Parents i see seem to threaten but not go through with the job anyway..
but i guess thats off the point.
I see them as more of a reward, instead of saying
"no videogames for a week!"
why not say
"son, if you do this job, you can play the wii all this week"
of course this blackmail dosnt work on most 'young adults' as most have their on tv.
