	Log in to remove this advertisement I want to buy both Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 for my Wii and was wondering if anyone know if the drums will be interchangeable from one to the other? I will probably have the GH:WT drums since that releases first. I don't have RB1 so keep that in mind. I would put this in one of those forums but this forum gets quicker responses. 	Well someone I know said that the RB2 drums will be the same as the RB1 drums but will have optional cymbals that cost $15 each. Anyone know if it's true? If so then they would probably be compatible. -------------------

	GH and RB instruments are incompatible on Wii, from what I understand. GH uses wireless instruments attacehd to Wiimotes, while RB will use wired USB instruments. Since they are using different technologies, it is very unlikely that the games will be programed to recognize the inputs of the competing game. ------------------- General Wii U \| General 3DS

	Oh, thanks for the info. Do you know if RB2 is going to use wireless instruments? Also, are you sure EVERY instrument will be wireless for GHWT or just the guitar? Because that would be a ripoff to pay a ton of cash for the drums and such to need a Wiimote for each instrument. -------------------

	I'm pretty sure the guitar and drums are wireless, though the microphone uses a chord. I think it hooks up to the drums, but I'm not sure. (World Tour) -------------------

	Guitar Hero: World Tour will plug into the Wii Remote for its instruments (except for the microphone). Rock Band instruments go through a USB hub. They are incompatible. We'll find out if either game will allow to use of the other though. But I honestly doubt it will. ------------------- Play-Asia!

	Well, not for Wii at least. Apparently GH:WT will accept RB drums on the Xbox360, but NOT the other way around. But since for some reason Rock Band doesn't want to use the Wii remote then they'll never be compatible on Wii. Unless Activision wants to go out of their way and make everything way more expensive. -------------------

	Damn that sucks. I want them for my Wii, and like the GH guitar better than the RB one. Maybe I'll just get them for my 360 and bring it to school with me because my friend said they are compatible on 360 because Microsoft forced them(true..?). -------------------

	GH3 and RB1's guitars weren't compatible. Well, you could play with the GH2/GH3 guitar on Rock Band, just not the RB guitar on GH3. I don't know if Microsoft "forced" them, but GH:WT, RB2, and I think even Konami's Rock Revolution's instruments will all be compatible with one another. ------------------- Thanks, Natman4.

	Well that is pretty much convincing me to get them for my 360 then instead of my Wii. Unless I bought one and got the other for Christmas. Which one seems like it will be the better game? I haven't looked into them much at all I'm just looking forward to them. -------------------
