I'm stuck in two inds on whether to buy a nintendo wii or an xbox 360. both seem like good fun to me, though i dont have a huge knowledge on both consoles. Ive done this in the 360 forum to get some ideas of what an xbox is like (also had the original xbox, which i thoroughly enjoyed).

anyway, I was wondering if you could tell me what a Wii is like, and try and sell it to me as best you can! Thanks in advance

Both systems provide different gameplay experiences.

Not to mention Wii games vary widely in quality; however, don't believe that the Wii is strictly a casual affair.

Buy a xbox 360. Thats what I think. Or buy A gaming pc, cause pc gaming is teh best.

The Wii is a great console for a number of reasons:

1. It has exclusive games across a wide variety of genres such as Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Fire Emblem, Super Smash Bros., etc...

2. It has motion control which greatly improves many genres, such as first person games as evidenced with Metroid Prime 3 as well as allows entirely unique experiences only possible with the Wii Remote, such as Zack & Wiki and Wii Sports.

3. You can download old school Nintendo games from the likes of the NES, SNES, and N64 as well as those from the Genesis, TurboGraphix-16, and Neo Geo. You can also download newly developed games from WiiWare. It's also able to download neat little apps such as an internet broswer.

4. While the online experience may not be as solid as the 360's, the Wii's is completely free and is best used in games like Mario Kart.

5. It's backwards compatible with the GCN, which may really benefit someone like you who doesn't own one since the GCN has a ton of great games too.

I heard PES 2008 Wii was ridiculously good. Very tactical, and good use of the pointer.

Super Mario Galaxy is the best Wii game to date.

Cheers. I did like the idea of it being a different way of playing a football game, what with controlling two players with one person.

Well all the reviews i've been given for the Wii are very good, plus its different. I think my minds finally made up!Thanks

If you ever need help again choosing another game, you can use this thread to ask the other forum users.

If like like FPS and great (but pricy) multiplayer, go for the 360. If you like Nintendo (duh) go for the Wii. It's more than a gaming system with photo channel, weather channel, etc. Plus, you can buy classic games (NES-N64) for 5-10 U.S dollars.

Real men use the actual console to play old games.

Get blowing into those cartridges.

If you play games alot and like more serious games get a 360.

If you just play mostly non serous games and just play a little bit get a wii.

Like Oblivion, Gears of War or Bioshock then? I'd hardly note Mario Kart Wii as one the best games ever made, don't be so biased.

That's just a typical Wii-Stereotype.

The WII has many ''hardcore'' games.

You don't see the 360 having some of the best games ever made, like...

Super Mario Galaxy...Zelda: TP...Brawl...MKWII

Except, you know, Fallout 3 isn't out yet.
